Great story
Revisado: 11-12-23
Read well, sad. I’ve heard a lot about this book since it came out. I’ve been in health care for 20 years and it’s shocking that even two physicians could not see death right in front of their own eyes. The brain and denial is so strong. I feel bad that their girl had to grow up without a father when it was obvious he wouldn’t be around long enough to see her even turn one.

Historia
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Wonderfully written. And read.
I can’t believe she remembered the details and that she survived that horrible ordeal.

Narration is like an SNL skit
Revisado: 03-15-19
I couldn't finish this book. The female narrator is fine. But the male sounds like an SNL skit. He can't be serious...can he?

Why we think it’s a great listen: There’s no gentle way to put this – Frank McCourt’s performance of Angela’s Ashes is just better than the Pulitzer Prize-winning book. Frank McCourt shares his sometimes heartwarming, sometimes heartbreaking story of growing up poor, Irish, and Catholic in the Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir Angela's Ashes.

How can anyone make their way through this?
Revisado: 06-29-18
I stopped this book with 13 hours to go. I’ve never ceased reading a book this early. I thought I could continue to see how it ends, since everyone seems to love it. But I can’t stand the way it’s written or read.

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

Good content, but couldn't get past the voice
Revisado: 12-30-14
Would you listen to The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People again? Why?
I liked the content of this book (except at times when it got "churchy"), but could barely finish it due to the reader's voice. I know it's the author, but he should have hired someone else to read his book.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Stephen R. Covey?
Just about anyone.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, to his voice. It was so irritating.
