Historia
Her name was Henrietta Lacks, but scientists know her as HeLa. She was a poor Southern tobacco farmer who worked the same land as her slave ancestors, yet her cells - taken without her knowledge - became one of the most important tools in medicine: The first “immortal” human cells grown in culture, which are still alive today, though she has been dead for more than 60 years. HeLa cells were vital for developing the polio vaccine; uncovered secrets of cancer, viruses, and the atom bomb’s effects.

Very enlightening to what happens to everyone medical "waste"
Revisado: 05-10-20
Intriguing: Very interesting to see where we are now, (regarding medical surgeries and tests) in the world compared to where we were in the 1950's. It was/is a darn shame someone who donated so much to medical science and research, that the family wasn't even afforded medical services for all her family and all decents.

They left their comfy life behind and moved to Ecuador! Follow along as they battle 'mañana' time, stinky buses, and the dreaded 'Frankenstein' shower. Will they adjust to South American culture? Will Triplet learn to meow in Spanish?

It was supposed to be cute
Revisado: 11-02-18
Reader not so good, here is where the writer should have read, it's difficult for someone to read when they didn't experience the funnies, it's almost as if she didn't understand where or what was supposed to be funny. She tried.

Historia
For years Brian Weiss, M.D. has focused on leading his patients into the past, yet some of them experienced spontaneous pre-cognitive moments. When developing regression into past lives, one man went forward into the future rather than backward. He entered into an idyllic future life - a passage which helped him emotionally. At that moment, Dr. Weiss recognized that past, present, and future are one. What happens in the future can affect the present, just as the past also influences it.

Author should NOT be the reader
Revisado: 11-02-18
Interesting material, some parts get monotone or the reader sounded tired or board, not enough inflection. Many times his voice sounds like he raises his voice (maybe like an instructor), but I felt like he was trying to wake us up (maybe he was trying to wake himself). It's not like we didn't pay for this, we paid because we were interested
