some of my book club were bothered by the number of characters. I was not. as long as you know if they are 'islanders' or in London, that's all you need to know. Fun, educational, easy reading.

Kristen created vivid mages and unforgettable characters that will keep me thinking about the Oakies for a long time. This story is important to those trying to understand environmental changes and immigration in today's world by letting us live in our history of the 930s. I will highly recommend this book to everyone.

A Wonderful Read in a Fasinating Time
Revisado: 02-03-19
The story and the characters kept me from putting the book down. The light bulb and Current War are fascinating to learn about. In the final chapter, the author tells us which events are made up or fudged a bit and which are absolutely true, yet almost unbelievable. I recommend to all.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.
