What a story!

I read (& listen to Audible) many, many hours a month covering a lot of books in several genres. "The Witness" by Nora Roberts is right up there in the top of the best! It was a sensational story -- quite unique, and it stirred many emotions in a strong manner. There was happy, sad, anger, suspense and a sweet, developing deep love that kept me absolutely glued to this incredible book until it was finished. While it is a stand-alone, it made me wish it was the first book in a long series! The performance by the narrator was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the exceptional.

O. G. Fleming ... A Must Read/Listen!

A very different story. Never boring. Makes you laugh out loud! It touches most all of your emotions. One of the very best books I have ever read. The characters are real; the story is excellent. Of course, these two narrators are among the very best, and their performance was stellar! I will listen/read this book many more times, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre of books and wants a good story and wants to laugh!

This 2-book series is a MUST!

"The Things We Left Behind" and "Things We Hid From The Light" are two of the VERY BEST books I have ever read! They put together a unique story around an interesting, funny and deep cast of characters. There is something for everyone to enjoy, cutting across a few genres. They are laugh-out-loud funny! The performances by Lila Winters and Sebastian York are stellar, as usual ... and for those of you not familiar with Sebastian York's voice and reading style ... he could make obituaries sound wonderful and extremely sexy!! These are the first two books I have read authored by Lucy Score ... she is exceedingly talented and enjoyable. They certainly are NOT the last books I will read written by this author! Read & Enjoy!

Vi Keeland never disappoints! Interesting story, great characters, outstanding narration, wonderful dialog, and funny!! And YES, I will recommend it highly to anyone who will stand still long enough to hear me!!!

Another Afterlife Success ...

However ... I think this book is more complicated in its characters and their journey and is a bit harder to follow. In all previous books in this series, the same extremely talented narrator was used, but in this book, a different narrator was a big mistake! It made an already more complicated story even harder to follow and understand. In that, I was majorly disappointed. I do hope this new direction in the storyline will open the door to a whole new series, as Stephanie Hudson's talent knows no bounds. I hold my breath awaiting more books based around the many unusual characters brought to us in the Afterlife series! I certainly recommend this book to those followers of this genre of books.

Good But Not Great

The extraordinary story continues. It begins to get much more complicated here — harder to keep up with names and historical events and their relationship to what appears to be going on. Part of the difficulty in this book is the performance of Rebecca Rainsford as she narrates. While she is beyond extremely talented, it broke down in this book. She changed the voices and, hence, personality of one or two of the lead characters and seemed to have a bit of trouble with her transition from one character to the next throughout. There are still tons of surprises and suspense, fun dialog, and the continuation of a beautiful love story in quite unusual circumstances. Can’t wait to see what the next book brings us!

Extraordinary Series!!

At this writing, I have listened back-to-back to the first 4 books in Stephanie Hudson’s OUTSTANDING Series. I am 77 and I spend about 80% of my waking hours reading or listening to Audible. I have read wagonloads of books in this genre, and besides Christine Feehan’s Dark Series, Hudson’s Series is right there in “The Best” category alongside Feehan’s works. Ms Hudson has a vivid imagination and does not totally follow the “vampire” fantasy, but expands it exponentially to cover soooo much MORE. Her Biblical slant of the betrayal of Judas and the Crucifixion Story and Judas’ treatment afterwards … told by Dominick from his eyewitness accounts … took my breath away! Ms Hudson covers Heaven, Hell, and all the in-between. The characters are rich and I have found myself laughing out loud (dialog is amazing) and brought to almost sobbing tears! THAT, Dear Readers, is TALENT!!! My one criticism is that, the author explains all kinds of things in wonderful, colorful detail, and while it isn’t necessarily boring, there are patches where it is overdone. As with all publications these days, there are occasional grammatical errors or misuse of terms … things good proofreaders or editors should catch and have corrected.
Now, Rebecca Rainsford narrates all the books and she, too, is simply AMAZING. The Series is full of very interesting characters, and Rainsford handles the change of voice and/or dialect of them all sooo smoothly. This Series has a LOT of flirting & steam, so READERS BEWARE. 😉 And, YES, I would highly recommend these books to anyone who wants to get lost in a fabulous story!!

The BEST Yet!

I have become a huge fan of Vi Keeland’s. I have enjoyed all of her books I have read so far, but I believe The Summer Proposal is her BEST Yet. It will touch all of your emotions; there are laughter and tears, joy and sadness, hopefulness and broken promises. The storyline is a little different and much better than the standard jock-meets-girl … and the dialog is fantastic and funny! As always, Sebastian York & Andi Arndt deliver a stellar performance as Max &.Georgia. I would certainly highly recommend this book to any adult reader who wants a sweet and funny romance to brighten their day.

A Must Read!

This was the first book by Molly McAdams that I have ever read. The story was gripping! Development of characters was excellent. The performances by Savannah Peachwood and Tim Paige were also excellent. I plan to read more books by Ms McAdams, and I recommend highly that you do, too!

Sexy, heart-rending, and downright HILARIOUS!

This was the first JA Huss book I have ever read. I read a great deal and prefer the romance, historical romance and settings usually in the United Kingdom. I am a senior citizen, so my take on these genres are most likely different than readers much younger than me. I thoroughly enjoyed SEXY from the beginning sentence to the very last — and wished it was even longer. It included ambition, struggle, mystery, pain, and laughter. The storyline was rather unique and the location was in my favorite place on earth … Tahoe … so I felt I knew it forward and backwards. Refreshing! The characters were well-developed and relatable, though there were times when I wanted to smack both lead characters on the back of the head for being beyond pigheaded! As for the dialog … it very often had me laughing quite hard, and out loud. Truly entertaining. The performances by Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York were stellar, as usual. Of course, even at age 76, I could listen to Sebastian York read a menu and I would DROOL!!! O. Fleming
