Just when I thought I would never find another series to fall in love with, after finishing what I thought was the best book I had ever read...along comes Claire and Jamie, I will admit I downloaded this book with much skepticism, as I do not like romance books. This is SO much more! Factual in history, magical, mystical, and romance that I can stand, and the characters!!! Downloading book number 2 as I write this ❤️

Absolutely magnificent read. I've been putting this book off for months, due to a couple of bad reviews. I cannot tell you how happy I am that those reviews were nonsense. This book is amazing and I highly recommend.

We all have inner demons. We fight them all the time. Some of us achieve inner peace by coming to terms with them. But how do you come to terms with inner demons that tear free and become outer demons? Eric has been a vampire for nearly a century, and his demons are more than metaphors. While they controlled him, he was the Demon King. Now he has to avoid the monsters in his own mind, as well as angry nobles, fanatical religions, assassins, magi, other vampires, criminal organizations, and more.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

I laughed, cried and giggled my way through this book, thank you JD! as the granddaughter of an Appalachian mamaw and papaw, I could absolutely relate to your life, with some differences here and there, it would seem we grew up in the same family. Here's to our beloved grandparents, who kept us all in line, as well as the "other" folks in our family who taught us many things, both good and some bad. I wouldn't change much.
