Didn’t want it to end!
Revisado: 05-01-25
At first I tried reading You Let it In, but struggled to get going. Decided to grab an audiobook copy as well. The story was so well written, the characters were easy to like, and I loved Asher! It quickly picked up momentum and didn’t slow down. By the end, I wasn’t ready for it to be over. Great story!

Different take on serial killers!
Revisado: 04-28-25
I loved the take on the serial killer in this book. Unlike others I’ve read, it’s told from the POV of Jones. This blends the perfect amount of horror and gore. It was fast-paced and the narration was top shelf! Diving into Jones 1993 now!

Historia
Gordon's name was a joke. It was given to him by Anthony Zola, a controlling, and abusive father, to taunt his wife over her love of cheese, and the fact that she had been steadily gaining weight since their marriage. Andrea was a doting mother, and maybe a little overprotective of her boy, but she didn't see that as a bad thing. On discovering a secret, one the child had been told to keep to himself, everything changes. Now she must do whatever she needs to keep her, and her boy, alive. Needs must.

Revisado: 04-21-25
I had read Zola a while back, but when DE said that it was coming to audio and Lila Kerry was narrating it I knew I had to give it a listen.
Lila does such an amazing job bringing the characters to life. I feel like listening to this story made it more vivid than when I read it. Absolutely loved it!

Amazing ghost story
Revisado: 04-17-25
This book was amazing! I ended up listening to it on audio and reading it on my kindle when I wasn’t in the car because I had to know what happened next. The story was well written. I’m always a sucker for a good ghost/demon story! I found myself caring for Kayla and her sister as the story went on too. The character development, plot, all of it was just top shelf. The epilogue was a tear jerker, but it was the perfect.

Creepy, haunting read
Revisado: 12-20-24
I really enjoyed this one! Nick Roberts is probably one of my favorite authors of 2024, so I’ve been working my way through his catalog. Anathema was very well written. There were times that the creep factor was cranked all the way up, which made it a lot of fun! The cast of characters were great, and the way Nick writes about addiction and other issues that families face added an extra element to the story. The narration took a great book and made it even better!

Just when Ander gives in to camp life and starts crushing on a cute gamer boy, a little fun with a spirit board unleashes a vengeful spirit of a bygone era.

Fun slasher story!
Revisado: 08-30-24
If you enjoy summer camps and slasher movies, this will be right up your alley! A group of teen influencers are sent to a summer camp. It’s not just any summer camp, but one that makes them live likes it’s the 80s! This book was so much fun! It doesn’t take long before weird things start happening and people start disappearing. I really enjoyed the creep factor, and kept finding myself jumping back and forth between suspects. Great story, great narration, highly recommend!

Historia
Last Stop, Ground Floor is a horror-thriller novel about a young man who learns that spending eternity in the place of eternal punishment for the crimes he committed during his lifetime wasn't what he expected, nor what he could have imagined. It didn't surprise Nick that he ended up in hell for what he'd done, but he wasn't prepared to follow the rules.

A fun trip through Hell
Revisado: 08-02-24
Last Stop, Ground Floor follows Nick who is a recently executed criminal who finds himself in Hell. Upon arrival he is greeted by his guide, Jeffrey. The story follows Nick through his journey in Hell and all the “fun” things that take place. There is torture, and plenty of gore! This was a different take on hell and what happens in the afterlife. Fun read!

Historia
Fleeing an abusive relationship, Ellie Carson suddenly finds herself in The Unworld; a peculiar in-between, mimicking our reality. A place with infinite entrances for those who aren’t looking. A strange realm filled with forgotten things, people, and beings that shouldn’t exist. The underside of the cross-stitching of time, never seen and all binding. The way out is always shifting, and may not exist at all.

Great story!
Revisado: 06-04-24
Unworld takes you to what I would describe as an in between. Not in this world, or the next, but stuck in the middle. When the starts, Ellie is trying to flee from an abusive relationship, but she quickly finds her self in a different place. Will she be able to make her way out of the ever changing place? This story is eerie, dark, and has a good amount of horror elements. I really enjoyed the characters and the overall idea of the book.
