Historia
Once upon a time, Willa Callister was a successful blogger with a good credit score, actual hobbies, and legs that she shaved more than once a month. But after finding her fiancé in bed with her best friend, she now spends her days performing at children's birthday parties in a ball gown that makes her look like a walking bottle of Pepto Bismol. Willa dreams of starting fresh, where no one knows who she used to be, but first she needs to save up enough money to make it happen.

One of those stories that helps the main character
Revisado: 01-06-22
I love a romance that isn't just a romance but also has some character development as well. I think this is a beautiful story about how you can mourn not just a romantic relationship but also a platonic one as well. The way the story is told is such a great story about how someone can get their heart broken and realistically come back from it.
The performance is great and I always love when the narrators do different voices for different people, really makes the story a story.

The arranged marriage troupe done right!
Revisado: 01-06-22
I have read a lot of arranged marriage troupe's and I think that something that is missed a lot is the process of the characters falling in love and this book gives such a beautiful story of them falling in love. The characters are not just likable but they are relatable. I could not put this audio down, I actually wanted the day to hurry up and end so I could keep listening to it.

Historia
Kelsey Phillips is over the dating scene. All that time and energy perfecting your profile and taking just the right picture and articulating exactly what you’re looking for, only to get the same sleazy propositions? No, thanks. She’s doing just fine on her own, so there’s no point in a fruitless hunt for “the one” that doesn’t exist. Besides, she already has the perfect man in her life. Theo is the type of friend who’s always there for a laugh, a hug, or a drink - and no propositions.

It had great intentions
Revisado: 12-29-21
The whole plot of this book is that these two main characters don't have feelings for the other person and this wedding is the opportunity for them to explore these feelings they didn't really know they had. Sounds promising, BUT the major downside is it's so apparent that the two main characters are into each other and that it's a mutual want. There's a constant mention that the two main characters are just friends and it gets to a point where you're kind of like "okay why are you telling me so much and not showing me with actions?" The chemistry between Kelsey and Theo gets kind of annoying and repetitive after a while. I honestly stopped 3 hours into it because I didn't care anymore.

Historia
For a decade, I’ve hated the supernaturals who owned my world. I hunted them. I killed them. And now, in the most grand twist of fate - I am bonded to one of them. Oh, the irony. Being a supernatural bounty hunter isn’t exactly a popular job. But after the magic wars, there aren’t many things a human can do that will put food on the table. Thankfully, anything my right hook can’t handle, my guns can. Or so I thought.

Promising Plot But A Bad Execution
Revisado: 04-22-21
When I first read the good reads summary for this book I thought it was exciting and interesting, but as I listened to the story my interest fizzled and I found myself just getting more and more irritated. I am not a fan of books that decorate or flower the wording/description and this book is filled with that, you can't go two or more lines without hearing something compared to something else as a descriptors. I made it to probably more than halfway through the book when I realized that I didn't actually like the main character, there's not much that happens that makes me want to like her or makes me want for her to win. There's a constant reminder that the main character is constantly alone and that she's a killer and she doesn't feel when she kills, it comes across like they are trying too hard to get her personality across. Although there were things in the book that I wasn't a fan of, I think that the true thing that makes me give this story a 2 is the narrator and how melancholy she tells the story. If there narrator could have possibly told the story in a different tone or even tried to have fun with it then I think I could have liked it more.
