Historia
A family of four murdered in their hotel room. A single mother and her boyfriend both stabbed to death. A sordid history of violent crimes, repeated over and over - but decades apart. Olivia Barker is a therapist with no connection to the murders. But she has heard things. Stories that keep her up at night. Details that only a killer would know. A killer who could be one of her patients…Olivia has no proof for her suspicions. But as the body count rises, so do her fears. A rock is thrown through her window, her car tires are slashed, a chilling message is scrawled on her bathroom mirror.

Great story - frustrating pronunciations
Revisado: 07-11-24
I enjoyed this book, The storyline was engaging and unique. The narrator did an excellent job on the character voices. I was very frustrated, however, with the narrator's mispronunciations of "Oregonians, Wenatchee, Centralia" and other local places. It's hard for me to understand how that isn't caught during editing, surely there's enough Pacific Northwesterners out there that someone should be paying attention that the narrator is properly pronouncing locations and not insulting 4 million people by mispronouncing Oregonians. It was very distracting to be cruising along listening to the book and have those narrating errors occur.

Engaging!
Revisado: 08-29-23
I found this book to be very engaging and worth the price. Since it's a suspense book, I don't like to add a lot of details, but as there are only 59 reviews at the time I'm writing this, I wanted to lend my support. Great read!

Historia
Detective Josie Quinn is horrified when she’s called to the house of a mother who had her newborn baby snatched from her arms. A woman caught fleeing the scene is Josie’s only lead, but when questioned it seems this mysterious girl doesn’t know who she is, where she’s from, or why she is so terrified.... Is she a witness, a suspect, or the next victim? As Josie digs deeper, a letter about a mix-up at a fertility clinic links the nameless girl and the missing child to a spate of killings across the county.

Such weird narration
Revisado: 05-31-22
I enjoyed the story but wow, how the narration made it past the production team is beyond me. I see that many others have also noted this weird narration. I am only listing a few of the many words that she mispronounced: Obgyn, Nike, secretary, specialty, been, hovered, holstered, cemetery, shone, ate, library, disarray, khaki, communal, and leverage. I don’t know how anyone listening and editing this book allowed it. So weird.

Terrible pronunciation of Oregon locations
Revisado: 06-12-18
I enjoyed this book, but man it was terribly difficult to listen to the narrator butchering names such as Willamette University and Chemeketa. Overall the plot was good and I would recommend.

I really enjoyed the narration., but not the best book by this author. The author annoyed me from the start by calling 911 Dispatchers "Operators." Weird.
