Historia
In I'll Give You Something to Cry About, Elizabeth Acker gives a stunning account of growing up under the abusive control of an emotionally and mentally ill mother. Elizabeth is forced to become estranged from her father, and struggles alone to create hope and meaning for her life, while serving her mother like a slave. This audiobook is a true account of a daughter's struggle to survive a mother with paranoia, schizophrenia, and manic depression.

The narrator makes this unbearable to listen to.

When I read what this book was about I was instantly intrigued and just had to listen to it. Unfortunately the narrator has made this book so unenjoyable I can’t bare to listen to it, and I have tried many times! The way she narrates the mother to constantly sound bothered and harsh is too much. When voicing the girl she always sounds whiny and meek. It takes away from the actual story with all the exaggerated narrating. I really can’t comment too much on the actual story because all I can remember is the horrible narration!
