Historia
Psychiatry has come a long way since the days of chaining "lunatics" in cold cells and parading them as freakish marvels before a gaping public. But, as Jeffrey Lieberman, MD, the former president of the American Psychiatric Association, reveals in his extraordinary and eye-opening audiobook, the path to legitimacy for "the black sheep of medicine" has been anything but smooth.

Revisado: 10-02-24
Mathew Josdan does a fantastic job narrating this manual to families. Thank you Matthew!! Your way of reading helps me learn much better than other readers.
Manual is well written, throughou, and offer a plethora of resources.
This book has helped me tremendously as my loved one has recently been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Thank you Dr Torrey for an exceptionally well written book.
Note of caution: this books talks about ALL the possible outcomes of this illness without sugar coating. Please keep that in mind. It’s a lot to take when this is the first book you read. It will prepare you well though. Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.

Not that great
Revisado: 01-11-23
“Much of this book is speculative rather than proven” The author states. Why would I buy a book that talks about scientific matters when things are not proven? Not only that I was looking for more personal stories of those that have Ehlers-Danlos. The book is extremely short. Though I did learn new things, I don’t think it was worth my money.
