Henry and Jason led normal lives in Seattle before they were abducted to another world. Their kidnapper, the vain, self-styled god Dolos, refuses to send them back unless they can accomplish an impossible task. Oddly, Dolos doesn't seem to care if they succeed or not. Luckily, Henry and Jason studied Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) on Earth. Unfortunately, a Japanese American EMT and a geeky IT programmer don't have many other useful skills on a sword-and-sorcery world like Ludus.

Loved it? Yes
struggled to finish it? nope
most memorable moments? there's more than one so that's hard to say.
how about that narrator? Jeff hays really has a way to bring the different characters to life. you can usually catch live streaming sessions on YouTube or twich. would I recommend the book to read most definitely.

I stumbled upon Royce and Hadrian one day. looking for a Free book to listen to on my way to work, as I have a long commute. I came across the jester. an thought why the heck not. I instantly fell in love with the pair of thieves and had to have more... so for my birthday my wife asked me what I wanted? I said how about some audio books. so picked up the revelation series. and when I meet Gwen and arista alric and by far my favorite Myron " is that a women?" " oh my! thier even more beautiful than horse's!" "um i wouldn't tell them that." Hadrian replied. I was laughing so hard I had . to pull the car over. I suggest the whole series and in my opinion start with chronicles. and work your way through. the crown tower is where it all began.
