Redeeming love & overcoming addiction

This was one of the most beautiful love stories I've read in a long time. I love that the book begins with a rescue, and love the tender, gentle way Hugh knows Hattie needs after what she has been through. The way he cares for her, and helps her overcome her addiction to alcohol, is priceless. I absolutely love the parallel to Hosea's story from the Bible, and how Hugh comes to love Hattie and her him as the story unfolds. An absolutely beautiful love story, with forgiveness and grace. The narrator, Meghan, did a marvelous job acting out the characters, and bringing this novel to life with her beautiful voice. This will be a novel I listen to repeatedly.

Another good story, however a little too focused on the intimate relationship for my taste. I preferred more story around the fort, but still an overall good story with a good ending. Narrator was excellent, enjoyable to listen to.

Super sweet!

This was an absolutely sweet story. I loved the bits of humor and the friendship between Tabitha & Stuart that led to a lifetime together, although the little twist had me wondering! I was happy the Pastor also had a lead to his happily ever after.
The narration was wonderful, setting the perfect tone, and bringing the story to life. The characters personalities were captured perfectly. I truly enjoyed this one!

I really enjoyed the storyline of this next book in the Fort Gibson's Officers series. It kept my interest in wanting to find out if Ella would survive, and then come around to love and accept Jack. It was a great book, brought to life by the narrator, who did an outstanding job.

Super sweet & heartwarming

This was one of the sweetest mail order bride stories I've ever read. I loved the joy of Della learning to cook, sharing with others, and the touch of faith. A very heartwarming short story. The narrator, Meghan, did a wonderful job portraying characters and emotions, making it a truly enjoyable listen.

Beautiful historical military novel.

I really enjoyed the storyline of this novel. I loved the characters and how they interacted. It was the perfect love story. The ending was terrific, I hadn't figured out how everything would resolve, but I was delighted with the outcome. Definitely a couple steamy parts. Meghan did and outstanding job on the characters voices. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the whole story, feeling everything each character felt. Wonderful job.

Riveting!

This is the first Pendleton book I have finished, and I was captivated from the very first few lines. Such a thriller waiting to see if Caterina would indeed escape the mafias plans for her. Loved the Italian cooking and recipes she takes with her to the West. The love story that struggles to emerge between Kade and Caterina is beautiful and bittersweet to the end. Absolutely a sweet romance with a full backstory of the town's people, neighbors, and family.
I was thrilled with Meghan's narration, the different character voices and accents kept me in admiration of her talent to bring these characters to life.
This was a beautiful collaboration of author and narrator, and I was thrilled to find this book in Audible!

A marvelous mail order bride Western!

This was one of the most delightful mail order bride stories I've read in a time. Evangeline is a strong independent lead character, yet she works in perfect balance and respect with her husband Jake. I absolutely loved the faith in this story, how both Evangeline & Jake depended on the Lord for their strength and guidance. One of my favorite parts was when Evangeline helps the young lady sell her woven cloth and yarn to the Mercantile. There were so many great parts to this intricate book, and plenty of mystery and intrigue to keep ones attention. Meghan did a marvelous job with the narrative and all the character's voices. I'm always in awe she can do so many different ones, making the story come to life.

An amazing historical romance treasure!

A young girl pulled from home to go with her sisters to a new home, growing up, learning what love is, and how to embrace change & the future. A prodigal son who leaves home sure he can find fortune, finds love and healing instead, and returns home, risking all to make amends. I haven't found a story of Kari's yet that I don't absolutely love and learn from. This one blessed my heart with it's story of redemption, the prodigal son, and the strength of family & faith. This story has the perfect blend of history, action, true life lessons, and romance. One of my favorite parts was the marriage advice Jenny's mom gives her, and the hope chest they prepare together. The narrator did an excellent job, her accent and character voices made them come to life for me. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
