Historia
Tia and Mike Baye never imagined they'd become the type of overprotective parents who spy on their kids. But their 16-year-old son, Adam, has been unusually distant lately, and after the suicide of his classmate, Spencer Hill they can't help but worry. They install a sophisticated spy program on Adam's computer, and within days they are jolted by a message from an unknown correspondent addressed to their son: "Just stay quiet and all safe."
Meanwhile, Betsy Hill is struck by a photo that appears to have been taken on the night of her son's death...and he wasn't alone.

Fantastic
Revisado: 01-17-09
This is the first Harlan Coben book I have read and I am HOOKED. I am a big James Patterson fan and Harlan gives James a run for his money. I loved how the stories intertwined and I would have never guessed it in a million years! Highly Recommended!!!

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Worth Every Penny!
Revisado: 05-20-08
I bought this book last year because it was rate so well. I put off reading it because I thought it might be childish or too simplistic because it dealt with the circus. Boy was I WRONG! It was so fascinating to listen to the stories of the circus and everything involved with. It is almost like another world, I have to admit I haven't been to the circus since I was a kid but I want to go now!!! :-)

At the center of the tale is Silvio: in his younger years he fled the boredom of the village and made a life of travel and adventure. Now he's returned, living in a farmer's hovel in the middle of the woods, and, much to his family's chagrin, perfectly content with his solitude.

Well Written & Enjoyable
Revisado: 04-07-08
This is the first book that I have read by this author. I was reading a local magazine and the editor had suggested it. The book was very visual and I could identify with the characters. The twist in the plot really threw me for a loop. Overall a great book!

In this powerful debut, Yasmin Crowther paints a stirring portrait of a family shaken by events from decades ago and a world away. Consumed with guilt, Maryann leaves her suburban home and mild English husband to return to Mazareh, the remote village on Iran's northeast border where her own story began.

Historia
A groundbreaking and paradigm-shifting book, The Speed of Trust challenges our age-old assumption that trust is merely a soft, social virtue and instead demonstrates that trust is a hard-edged, economic driver -- a learnable and measurable skill that makes organizations more profitable, people more promotable, and relationships more energizing.

Painful
Revisado: 03-18-08
This book is painful and I can not finish it. The narrators mumbling is very disturbing as she imitates the main character who can not talk.

Historia
Reminiscent of the best in today's suspense, from Jeffery Deaver's roller-coaster twists to James Patterson's cinematic pacing, Run the Risk introduces a blazing new talent in Scott Frost. As one of the writers behind Twin Peaks and The X-Files, he knows something about creating eerie and atmospheric tension. In this brilliant novel, he gives us a heroine who faces a challenge no one can ever be completely prepared for and a story as urgently and viscerally told as any in recent memory.

Revisado: 10-10-07
This book was great. Not too graphic with the murder description, that stuff turns my stomach! The second book "Never Fear" is also great.
