Even though Bahni Turpin is not the narrator

Though it's sad to go straight from listening to the previous book to this. the change of narrator is a little jarring. But overall a good story rounding out the series. the complaints of those who wanted more is valid. but in my opinion if you understood the message from Toni in the first book. the ending makes a lot of sense.

I love how Aaron and Crystal were fleshed out. We learned a lot about Gayle, a little about Trevor, and Harmony was more of a question mark? Known of and her character traits. Even though the book was perfect. I wish it was longer 😪 😕

Can we get a released or escaped Aaron story? Who's done nothing but plot his whole time away? Reignite his cult following that's been waiting for their Speaker to return? A whole new book all together but someone with the maniacal brain or even more than Aaron. Maybe the baby of the teenage mother in the beginning actually survived? has their own plans for Aaron?

I've been listening to a lot of King. because I'm a horror hound & listening verses reading brings a new level to his books. this was a great listen. the narration was iffy at points. but I've heard WAY worse. Give it a listen. it was worth it.

I love long duration books. Book 1 was good. Everything after that was predictable. I'm speaking for myself. I love the point of view. because this could actually happen at this point lmfao. I made it to chapter 2 of the second book & just couldn't go on. Everybody has a preference, and that's fine. some people may be a fan of the author & familiar with his work. so this is another home run to them. this series from where I left it. has not even made up to bat.

This is such a beautiful and gruesome story. I loved every part (except for 1 lmao) of it. This has the fleshing out of characters like Stephen King. But Iain did it a little better. I cared so much for these stories and characters. Amazing work love 🫶🏾🫶🏾

I'm Jamaican born but not raised. Though my mom and family have shared stories. I couldn't truly understand because I was brought here as a baby. The overall story was beautiful showed A LOT of the trials and tribulations of being an immigrant, the American dream, the sadness, & the acceptance of being yourself. The narrator did an amazing job with her Jamaican patios. Lowkey made me feel like I was in my own house 😭😭

I don't know why this is in the horror section for a start. MIGHT BE A SPOILER
It's an interesting take of what the author states the origins of how this story came to be. At the end him explaining the true defining factors of the book. Is where it all makes sense. But I feel could've been a lot better. Because even with knowing it all makes sense. I'm still thinking "what f*** did I just listen to?"
