With it being an election year, more and more Americans were waking up to the idea that they truly were behind the curve. The hope was if they did not get sick, run out of money, or could avoid violent mobs, they would be fine.

Cheesy, Overrated Not Apocalyptic Fiction

The book starts out OK, about an hour into it there were times it made me cringe with how cheesy the set ups were. Characters are perfect puzzle pieces with the exact skill sets they need. Any adversity the characters face is good buys vs. bad guys. Couldn't finish it. I'm a huge fan of apocalyptic fiction but this is not about that at all. It's a good buys vs. bad guys story and has no basis in what would really happen in this scenario. Always a fan of Kevin Pierce, but not even his voice could keep me interested in this book. I question the gaming of audibles rating system now, 4.8 start? That 3.8 stars too high in my ratings.

Filled with political agenda with small amount of prepping story. I had high hopes and I tried to finish it just couldn’t. Thankfully got my credit back.

Not a good story

What disappointed you about The Community?
I was excited to listen to this series because it takes place in my home state, but I just couldn't take the biases of the author along with the story. The character in the book comes off pompous and arrogant. I got to book three thinking it would get better. Thank goodness Audible let me return the last two books.
