Historia
In the spring of 1685, Lord Hugo Everly, ardent supporter of the Protestant upstart the Duke of Monmouth, vanishes without a trace just before the Monmouth Rebellion, leaving future generations forever baffled as to what might have become of him. In 2013, while visiting Everly Manor as part of her job as a location scout for a film production company, Neve Ashley stumbles onto a secret passage that leads her into the 17th century and straight into the path of the ill-fated lord.

Highly recommend
Revisado: 04-03-25
Highly enjoyed and was hard to not keep listening. During James II Protestant reign and when Catholicism was treason! As Neve is blasted into 1685… to be a 21st century woman living in the past and having to come to the realization and realities of women’s rights really has you just gasping and cheering for her to make things right. Triggers of miscarriage, suicidal thoughts and pedophiles should be noted. Brilliant and well narrated.

Historia
It's been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they've given him have been violent and bloody - which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth: He has to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Expansion of Greek Mythology
Revisado: 03-24-25
I enjoyed the book. In my opinion, it would be a great start to a 2 or 3 part movie similar to Percy Jackson films. The slow burn romance was agony at times, but makes for great anticipation. I did however wish there was some additional comedy thrown in with the MMC a bit more often. When it does happen, I couldn’t stop giggling. Lost 1 star for Performance due to the MMC accent, Perhaps a personal preference but I kept imagining a Frenchman trying to pull off an American accent while living in Peru. It just didn’t fit.

If the world was ruled by women
Revisado: 09-25-24
This is one of the greatest and funniest books I’ve listened to .. women have become the fairer sex 400+ years in the future and the view from Christina’s standpoint on the barbaric rituals of the North Men society that has been cut off from the rest of the Motherland has humorous implications regarding common social norms that died out after the 3rd world war. Women suffrage, female circumcision, war, peace loving, removal of political powers, utopia vs nature evolution … there are so many concepts that really can create some thought provoking discussions if permitted.

Historia
I thought I knew who I was, where I came from, but my life is turned upside down when a stranger knocks on my door with promises that seem too good to be true. I should have run like hell and never looked back, but it’s too late now. I’m enrolled at Cadieux College, where secrets and deception line the walls, and the founding families rule without question. They all think I’ll be easy to use, to control, but I’m nobody’s puppet.

A MUST LISTEN
Revisado: 03-28-24
The story line is movie worthy. The dual narration is so good, that I nearly forgot that this was a book and was in thralled the whole time. Secrets, mystery, power and corruption, Nova’s physical description makes you really relate, slow burning energy is on fire, between Lucian and Nox, I’m not sure which brother I’m even in love with — a must purchase! I promise you would be glad you did.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Great performance, just okay book.

Starts off slow and winded. Gets better in the middle but then goes flat for the conclusion of the story. The voice actor was great tho.
