Another home run!
Revisado: 01-04-21
I loved this book. This book is a story about a family on the brink of destruction. It is a lovely journey meant to be savored and enjoyed. It’s a quiet story with a deep rich quality like a 5 course meal in a 5 star restaurant. Every word is purposeful and perfectly placed. Highly recommend! Carmel Harrington has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

Fabulous !!
Revisado: 12-27-20
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! This is a new to me author, and because of this wonderful treasure, I have purchased every single book she has written.
This book is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. These characters are so well developed, that they leap off the pages and into your heart like dear friends.
Do not hesitate! Read this and enjoy!
To the author: should you get a chance to read this review, thank you. Thank you for writing this delightful funny, sad and endearing book. You see...this has been a rather challenging year for me. So thank you. This book brought me much and was really life. I hope you write more books like this.

Excellent In Every Way
Revisado: 11-13-20
This book was meticulously researched. The story line was very well put together in a way that made the reader feel invested in the characters well being. I felt their sorrows, their determination, and their love of one another. They had strength to not only make their own journey, but to help others in profound ways. This is a great book.

Unexpected Surprise!
Revisado: 11-10-20
I’ve never read this author before. I absolutely loved this book. It held my interest, and the story line was stronger than the romance. It wasn’t light fluff either. This book was thought provoking without being shocking or brutal. There was depth, sincerity of the characters with very real struggles, but they were told in a manner that wasn’t gory or violent.
I also loved this narrator. Her tone, voice, accent and diction were perfect!
I had read The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek, and was interested in hearing more about the book program to get books to the hill people. This book did not disappoint, and as a believer, I really enjoyed the way the author wove faith and Christian values thorough the book.
Well done on all accounts!

Historia
As a young Christian man, Matthew Vines harbored the same basic hopes of most young people: to someday share his life with someone, to build a family of his own, to give and receive love. But when he realized he was gay, those hopes were called into question. The Bible, he’d been taught, condemned gay relationships. Feeling the tension between his understanding of the Bible and the reality of his same-sex orientation, Vines devoted years of intensive research into what the Bible says about homosexuality.

Informative and well sited
Revisado: 04-30-19
This book was written like a college paper. I mean that by the methodical way it was presented. The book was full of facts, and it was sited in a very concise manner. It had a few specific examples that gave references of how the issues LGBTQ people face impacted their lives. I would have liked more. I'm giving 5 stars because of the solid research, the Bible citations, and the chronilogic flow.
