Cup of coffee with an old “friend”

I feel like I hopped out of an old Jeep Wrangler, popped into Luke’s Diner, and had a cup of coffee (or three) with an old “friend.” Actually I sat outside the MET, by the fountain, with headphones on, sort of stalking an actress I think is awesome. But as a working mom who loved the Gilmore Girls, this was a nice slice of fun. This book is not going to change the world. Although, Lauren does give really great diet tips.

Think and Grow Rich is a motivational, personal development and self-help book written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie. While the title implies that this book deals only with how to achieve monetary wealth, the author explains that the philosophy taught in the book can be used to help individuals do or be almost anything they want in this world.

Yes, even as a woman in 2018, I find no offense to the old school “good ol’ white boys” language here!
The messages are invaluable. And even though the book has, elsewhere, been modernized, there is something raw and authentic in this original version.
If you love Abraham Hicks, Jerry started here. You will find this all very familiar.
The narrator’s voice is lovely. (Which is why I chose this version, after barely being able to get through samples of other guys.)
