Gideon is Amazing as always

some of the book drags on little.
and the Author sure put poor Jake through a lot, he better get a better story.
Gideon is an amazing voice actor and absolutely slays everything he does (DA2 fan)
I did have to speed up the Narration, because the female narrator speaks way too slow.
but over all fantastic, the plot seems to be lost at first. but you figure it out at the end. I will for sure be waiting on book 2

I've been absolutely obsessed with this podcast, I originally started listening on Iheart
but quickly switched to audible when I saw it was on here.
these guys are funny, considerate of the victims and their families (unless they're also scum bags) the amount of dedication put into each episode is amazing.
James is fantastic at making sure when they get off topic, he can always get them back on track.
just very well done. 10/10 would recommend

I'm so ready to see Isla get her memories back because my boy Grim deserved better.
I'm on 24 right now, and it's been slow so far, I hope it picks up. -Nov 10th

Good book, but should come with a trigger warning

Mental/Emotional abuse victims should be wary of this.
this series is definitely worth the read/listen.
a bit too much spice, has a tendency to over shadow the plot.

and honestly it's really difficult to like the the love interest "do you know how hard it was knowing every time you looked at me, you weren't seeing the real me"

uh??? how hard do you think it is knowing you loved and F*cked someone who's name you didn't even actually know? who "omitted who they really are??
also the "if you don't love me I will literally die"

I understand there's legit reasoning behind his motives and words, obviously it's a fantasy romance.
but as someone who suffered all the forms of abuse.

his words and actions in book 1 and book 2 sound VERY familiar.

other than that. the narrators did a great job and the plot it really good.
the world building is OKAY.
it's still Definitely worth picking up.

I really though I wouldn't like it

I really thought I wouldn't like it, I like my fantasy books with more romance or whatever. so call me cliche.
I got this book on a whim, and I found it oddly amusing, maybe Joey charmed me too,
but the way everything is done in such detail, and doesn't shy away from the grit, and humor of being a "monster" is quite refreshing.
having a vampire story told from the perspective of an actual vampire, who isn't smitten with someone.
and just getting down to the nitty gritty of being undead was honestly really nice.
I wad pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed and was enamored by this considering A. it was free, and B. it wasn't my normal romance fantasy book.
this is definitely a must read/listen to for fantasy lovers.

bit I would say it's definitely better heard than read for sure. the Narrator NAILS it forsure.
A+ for me really.
and this is coming from someone who 9/10 times only reads fantasy romance/ fantasy smut.

A waste of a credit And a DNF.

this book glorifies r@pe and stalking, in order to make it seem like a kink.

it would make sense, but the dude is practically an insane serial killer.

the underlying plot, is just weak and slow, once the two characters actually meet, all the author seems to care about writing decently is s*xual a/ssault scenes.

I love the Narrator

I've listened to many books narrated by Vanessa, so this by no means reflects on her.


this book was anti climactic at best.

the story was flat, boring, and hardly anything happened.

every guy in school wants to bang the lead, the lead totally would bang every guy in school.

it's terribly predictable, and nothing really happens.
maybe it was just to lead up to the other books?
but honestly I was so bored that I wouldn't even bother reading the rest.
it was almost a DNF.

Want a emotional, beautiful, heart destroying book

This book WRECKED me
at first the Narrator bugged me, because she's just bland.
but honestly, the book itself is so beautifully thoughtfully written, that it doesn't even matter who narrates it.

when I tell you this book DESTROYED my soul..

every character, so well written.
I loved all of them, even the D-Bag.
I listened to this book start to finish, in one day
and it will haunt me forever.
HIGHLY recommend.


I even put 5 stars for narration even though it wasn't. IDEC

I have like 20 minutes left of this book at time of this review, and I am BAWLING.

10/10 would recommend

I'm convinced the Author doesn't know much of anything about how a biker gang operates AT ALL.
the story was OKAY.
not really worth a credit in my opinion.
the Narrator was decent thankfully, she basically carried this book.
it's an okay book if you need a decent listen while looking for your next read.
but I definitely won't be getting the next book.

Holly black is just Great

this book was magnificent and addicting from start to finish.
my only complaint, is that it had so much potential for more, it could have been a longer novel, or even a series.
I would have loved for it to be a series!
