Four and a half out of six ain't bad
Revisado: 12-10-20
First off, the narrators did an amazing job with this entry!
Second, four off the stories in this volume are straight up awesome and really enjoyable.
Third, why did Bevan keep getting a third of all the stories? No matter which way that is looked at, it's a bad idea for one author to be so over-represented in a collaboration.
Fourth, one of the Bevan shorts, Stranger's Thing, was much more enjoyable than most of his catalog of Shingles

Solid Satire!
Revisado: 10-29-20
RK Meier puts in a great performance in very little time, carrying the story and accenting it well.
The story itself is very fast and serves as both a great satirical examination of the setup of a horror plot, as well as a setup in its own right

Historia
What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

A great start to a series
Revisado: 08-28-20
I've been with the series since this book and am eager for the next.
The plot contained in this novel is griping and the growth in the main character really feels genuine

Another great addition to the series
Revisado: 08-28-20
The action was top notch, as usual.
The story line was interesting, a lot of plot points get recycled from previous entries.
The performance was what really made this another level. Bringing in as much talent as they have, really enhanced the experience

An enjoyable anthology
Revisado: 08-09-20
A good collection of books by talented authors. Two of the stories are by the same author, and a greater degree of diversity would really help keep interest in the series long-term. Overall, the stories are fun and the narrators really do an amazing job polishing that work.

Half and half
Revisado: 03-29-20
A full one half of this collection was by a single author. Moreover a single author who told the same story three times.
All six stories were enjoyable, less so for the repeated stories.
The performances of the narrators always made the best of the material they had to hand.
I would love Vol. 4, I do just hope that collection is less focused on a single author. Between five authors, and whatever guest authors they can manage, that should be doable

Historia
Mattie and Brewster are normal, typical 16-year-old twins who live with their normal, boring parents: Martin and Gwen Banks. Normal and boring, that is, until the day their father's best friend shows up at their house - dressed in what appears to be a bathrobe. The next thing Mattie and Brewster know, their parents are frozen like human statues in their living room, the guy in the bathrobe has vanished, and they need to find answers - fast.

A great return!
Revisado: 01-31-20
I have to admit, the previous book in this series was something of a downer for me. However, I knew this author could bring the goods on a regular basis so I decided to see how this installment went.
I was not disappointed.
In this novel the author manages to hit a very plausible "passing on the torch" story that allows us to both experience the wonder of learning the ways of this world again in a manner that was still brief enough to not drag on.
As much as I deeply want to see these characters in action again, if this was the end of the series, I would understand. I would be somewhat bummed but I cannot deny that the story seems to be at either a good ending, or a solid building stage.
The narrator for this series does not disappoint, always a good performance

Combat is literally her middle name. Chimeric Adaptive Enhanced Combat Operator - but now Caeco Jensen - works for the FBI, building a new life and trying to learn from a painful past. It’s hard to fit in when you are one of a kind, but maybe, just maybe, there’s a place for her in this world. That is, if threats from off planet don’t ruin it first. Forging and protecting a new future with a her unique skillset won’t be easy, maybe almost as hard as making new friends.

An unexpected entry in the saga
Revisado: 01-31-20
I've been following this series for some time now and I have to say that I wasn't expecting to see the title character get a novel dedicated to her.
It wasn't an unpleasant surprise, Caeco is really kickass, but it did seem like other characters (Tatiana, Lydia, Arkady) might have gotten a perspective novel first.
The overall story is fast-paced and exciting.
As ever, the narrator does a fine job, no additional notes as he knows what he's doing
