In Because You're Blind, the author Becca S. Meadows takes the reader and explains the struggles she went through to resolve her trauma and abusive guardianship. The author wanted to convey her message and explain how she was stripped out from practicing her legal rights as an individual living with a second disability. What stood out to me was the fact that the author was able to resolve her abusive guardianship and sue the doctor. I liked how the author took the reader and explained how she went through her unknown daily struggles because she didn't know that the traumatic brain injury was there. It is encouraging seeing that she was able to go through therapy and go through what she went through and realize that she can overcome trauma. I feel as if this situation is a catch-22 with a life long impact with no resolution. This story was a great success and a great read.

Life is full of many expected opportunities and unexpected surprises. Challenges can occur and cause many surprises. In this book I enjoyed how the author Rebecca S. Meadows took the reader by the hand to explain her daily life struggles dealing with her TBI and how her parents and the court deemed she was too insane. Rebecca wanted to prove to her parents and the court that indeed she did not have issues and what her parents and the lawyers did to her was totally wrong. Rebecca strongly woke up from the coma and fully regained her strength and power to achieve what is possible today! Rebecca was able to prove to the reader that the mind can be repaired utilizing focus, and meditation. In Metamorphosis it gave me an insight to be a stronger believer and advocate for Intellectual Disability.
