Historia
Kelly Sundberg’s husband, Caleb, was a funny, warm, supportive man and a wonderful father to their little boy Reed. He was also vengeful and violent. But Sundberg did not know that when she fell in love, and for years told herself he would get better. It took a decade for her to ultimately accept that the partnership she desired could not work with such a broken man. In her remarkable book, she offers an intimate record of the joys and terrors that accompanied her long, difficult awakening, and presents a haunting, heartbreaking glimpse into why women remain too long in dangerous relationships.

Historia
He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn't keep him from coming out. My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn't know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target. My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I'm the only monster who can save her.

nothing happened
Revisado: 03-14-23
There isn't much of a story here. Not much actually happened. The instant love story was unbelievable and had no substance. A 2 night stand, then instant love and dedication??? The heroine becomes a tatoo artist in just 1 year? After a brain injury? get real!! Save your credit, folks. The male narrator was fantastic. I only finished it to hear his voice. The female narrator ruined the story. She was extremely breathy (inhale and exhale). It was distracting and took away from the story. Dick Dongy???? That was an absolutely stupid name. oh and why were the 2 girls so fixed on their nipples? Weird.

boring 😴
Revisado: 02-07-23
save your credit and avoid this snoozefest. Cesar never loved her or even acted like he did. she wanted to be a sugar mama and has the nerve to whine about it. Kerry is a racist "Karen." she kept referring to Ceaser as a monster, violent, angry, etc. He never showed any violence or hostility towards her. Kerry is stereotyping a Brown man. He was emotionally unavailable and clearly never loved her. The romance was never there, but he never abused her. He used her for money and she happily obliged.

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Meh... but so much potential
Revisado: 09-16-22
There was no character development for Paul. All we saw was the crazed abusive side of him. It was hard to see how she could have fallen for him. His character traits and personality weren't described very well. It would have been nice to have had scenes from his point of view maybe. There was also too much time spent on regurgitating statistics from people's books. Just tell me a story. We don't need your Psychological magazine quotes. I can Google that stuff myself. I just want to hear a good story.
