Timeless truth’s modernized
Revisado: 09-21-18
I immediately found myself being more intentional about creating special moments with my wife and kids. It is both mentally stimulating and practical. If dad’s could step up, it would change the world because after all to your kids when they’re young, we are their world.

Historia
There's a cultural evolution taking place inside of Mormonism. The evolution of church culture has been something that has needed to happen for a long time. Culture, traditions, oral laws, and the status quo can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing.

A timely and open book
Revisado: 09-02-18
Greg is very proud and grateful to be LDS and he articulates why very well. He’s not a traditional scholar per academic training, but he’s very well read and a good writer. The combination of his rationale, personal story, and open-ness all comes together with ideas and explanations in ways that are in enlightening, original, and heartfelt.

Historia
A prominent conservative scholar traces the post-1960s divisions between the Right and the Left, taking aim at liberals' victimization of African Americans and their failure to offer a viable way forward for American society. The United States today is hopelessly polarized; the political Right and Left have hardened into rigid and deeply antagonistic camps, preventing any sort of progress.

Liberalism’s appeal revealed
Revisado: 08-01-18
The author articulates what liberalism’s appeal is in a way I have never heard before. Almost on a psychological level.

Basic and boring. Not for high performers.
Revisado: 08-29-17
This book is not for high performers. It's for people who basically want to die and need some encouragement. I'm looking to get that extra edge to peak my performance a few degrees so I found it a waste of time and was unable to listen past a few chapters. The only reason I made it through a few chapters is because I was just waiting to see if it would get better, but it didn't.

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

Amazing
Revisado: 06-01-17
A beautifully written story of underdogs. Brought me to tears several times. My dad grew up in Washington and I'm buying it for him for Father's Day.
