Historia
In the wake of the cataclysmic events that reshaped our world in 2020, a sense of relief washed over us all. By late 2023, I think we were ready to just live life again. I know I was. It was a time to make new friends and put the past to rest. Rayne and I hadn’t known each other long, but we were building a solid friendship, nothing more. It was our common interests that sent us on vacation together to my remote cabin. What we didn’t, couldn’t know, was that we were on a collision course with the end of the world as we knew it.

Different spin for the genre
Revisado: 04-05-24
Well written and good solid story. Nice spin on the genre and no tired storyline that you’ve read a hundred times.
Plot, story and performance were top notch. I will look for more from Sean.

Historia
Why do women live longer than men? Why do women have menopause? Why are women more likely to get Alzheimer’s? Why do girls score better at every academic subject than boys until puberty, when suddenly their scores plummet? And does the female brain really exist? In Eve, Cat Bohannon answers questions scientists should have been addressing for decades. With boundless curiosity and sharp wit, she covers the past 200 million years to explain the specific science behind the development of the female sex.

Concise subject matter

Author did an excellent job breaking down subject by chapter and backed it up with current science research .
I would recommend 10/10!

Well written but nothing new
Revisado: 10-10-23
Overall well written and performed, but it relies heavily on usual story trope for zombie stories.

Fresh take on the zombie story
Revisado: 07-11-23
Overall, very pleased on the entire story. The outbreak was a fresh twist to a sometimes tired origins story line. I was pleasantly surprised.
There were a few times that I thought the author was going to slide into a few cliche plots lines, but for the most part he steered clear away.
Mathew Crow did an excellent job in narration as well.
I got the entire series for 1 credit- an absolute steal for hours of listening pleasure.
Well done Nick!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Great mashing together of several fairytales
Revisado: 05-02-23
The story was well written and the narration was great.
I thought the first part of the book was a bit longer than it needed to be, but just my opinion. And overall didn’t make me want to put the book down.
Loved the concept of the story and it didn’t disappoint.
It’s Stephen King after all, who am I to judge :-)

Historia
Life was bad and getting worse in the depths of Salvation. It did not take the people of Level Three long to realize that the only reason they had been spared from the cataclysm was to become a slave class. Now, a single accident has changed everything. Fear is spreading like a virus. Rumors become facts the moment they’re spoken. Neighbor is turning against neighbor. And time is running out fast. For most, this signals the end. For Callie and her friends, there is just one hope, but to find it, they’re going to have to fight through the most terror-filled night of their lives.

Well done post apocalyptic production!
Revisado: 12-18-22
Nice addition to post apocalyptic fiction. It took a bit to get to the meat of the story, seeing this is at least a three part story, author needed some time to set the stage.
This is a trilogy (that I can see so far) book one still “ended” nicely without the dreaded cliffhanger.
The narrators did an excellent job too!
I will purchase the the next book as I am vested in how the characters progress.

Okay series start
Revisado: 01-16-22
this was okay. mediocre but checks a lot of the boxes. My biggest issue is with the timeline; the set (1-4) takes place in the first week. The enemy characters, who had nothing to do with the outbreak, were acting too organized and too evil for the first few days. The survival of the fittest mindset of the "bad guys" was just too quick of a reaction.

Meh- didn’t care for the narrator
Revisado: 10-20-21
I think the book would have been ok if not for how the narrator chose how to perform the internal monologue of the main character - too breathy or whiny. I got about 3 hours into a 4.5 hour book and I had enough.
