Historia
Walt Disney was a true visionary whose desire for escape, iron determination, and obsessive perfectionism transformed animation from a novelty to an art form, first with Mickey Mouse and then with his feature films–most notably Snow White, Fantasia, and Bambi.

Very detailed
Revisado: 05-13-24
Gave me a better appreciation of Disneys genius. For a time, I lived in Riverside CA. My father was in the air force so everytime he came home from Vietnam we got free tickets to the park. I've been A Disney kid my whole life. This gave me a knew appreciation.

Excellent listen, but no coffee, coffee, coffee.
Revisado: 06-15-23
I have to admit that I have a problem and it's coffee! So I missed all the sidelines about coffee, says she who is currently enjoying an espresso. No kidding, professional machine and all. Yes I have a problem ; warts and all.
That aside, I loved this book, and the narrator. Finally an African American leading character too! Considering America's diversity this should happen more often.
I served twenty years in fast attack submarines. The military aspects are very accurate which makes the story sing. People die, people bleed, get tired, hungry, beat up, and finally people go beyond themselves because of their unit bond.
Can't wait for the next installment

Historia
Just 15 years from now, the world is polarised along ethnic and religious lines. Regional low-intensity wars have now been raging for 35 years. In the midst of the conflict, 97 members of the Allied forces ninth Mountain Squadron en route from the Northern Front for a long awaited period of rest and relaxation, are shot down over the Nordic wilderness. With no way of communicating with the outside world, the aircraft’s captain and the squadron commander lead the squadron out of the wilderness only to discover that during their absence the world they knew has ceased to exist.

It had potential, but...
Revisado: 01-07-23
I rarely write reviews. That said, this was horrible.
I'm a veteran. Even for a future military I couldn't begin to count the errors on anything military. Well rank maybe but even that was whacked.
I saw no value having two narrators. In fact bringing in the second narrator in half way startled me enough to play back a few minutes to even understand the shift.
And or all things holy, could the freaking editors or directors get a copy of common military acronyms and how to pronounce them?
Other than simply hard to follow, poor writing, and being a horribly uneccesarily complex story I can't imagine anything nice to say about it.
A complete and painful waste of time. Why then did I bother to listen? Well, by the hours in I was so pissed I wasted a credit, I was determined to suffer through to be as fair as I could be reviewing it.

Unique fusion of religion, mythology, and a vision of an afterlife
Revisado: 03-26-22
Jason and Doc are an excellent team. As a veteran I truly enjoy the warrior ethos blended throughout.
To most of the public (civilian) that’s considered rah rah, but how can they possibly understand the bond, loyalty, commitment a warrior has with his fellow warrior.
