Historia
Hall had played the VRMMORPG Sky Realms Online since beta. During one gaming session, a freak accident traps Hall and other players in the game. They awaken to find out their bodies are comatose and that they have been downloaded fully into the virtual world. Even worse, the rules have changed, they've been forced back to level one, and permadeath might be possible.

Good story progression.
Revisado: 07-08-24
The MC is definitely not OP like in a lot of other stories. His fights are life and death. The one thing I did not like was the inability for the author to count. When a character is at level 2 in a skill across several books but has been earning enough to bring him to level 5 in the skill it was disappointing.

Great story -can’t stop
Revisado: 06-18-21
I’m really enjoying the story but did not like the change of narrators. The first few books the narrator brought each character to life. This narrator is okay but no where near as talented. I’ll be reading the rest of the books on kindle with text to speech when I want to listen.

Great story
Revisado: 12-22-20
The reader was great. The story was a great surprise. The author made a few mistakes with descriptions like a surfing (riding like a wave) or a football (ran like he was running to a goal line and tourme was the ball). The mistakes did not fit in the flow of the story. Other than that the story was wonderful.

Time well spent
Revisado: 10-27-20
Books are meant to take you on a journey of learning, or to escape the reality of today and allow your mind to refresh. This book succeeds in a spectacular fashion. Due to the length of the book I put off diving in to this book for a long time. I’m so glad that I started listening. The narrator was a master of voices. At times it seemed like a full cast production. The story itself is a masterpiece that immerses the reader in the culture of Japan and European politics circa 1600.

Motivated me to move forward
Revisado: 12-06-18
I’ve been stagnant throughput my married life of 16 years. Suffering depression, blaming everything on circumstances and the people I love for the things that go wrong in my life. After the 5 second rule, I managed to pick myself up and live again starting with dragging myself to the gym at 5am. I’m at the gym right now writing this review and feeling sad that I’ve come to the final chapter of the audiobook. I’m glad to have listened to it. It was what I needed to get out of the rut of self pity and to take on challenges again, to live life to the full without regrets. Thank you Mel for this audiobook, and thank you God for giving me the inner strength and courage to listen to this book! It’s a life changer! PS. I love that Mel personally read this book herself, no one could have done it any better, it’s so authentic and raw, it feels like she’s there with you, coaching and motivating the entire time. Highly recommended!

Why does the cinema have the power to move the heart, stimulate the mind, and dazzle the imagination? How did the art of film develop from its origins to the present day? This course covers the history and aesthetics of the movies. It traces the experiments and innovations that gave rise to the modern cinema, developing a vocabulary that helps explain the variety of choices filmmakers make when they construct shots and edit them together.

If you like Siskel and Ebert then...maybe.
Revisado: 04-28-14
I picked up this book to compliment a college course i'm taking called "Movies and Meaning". I was hoping that it would help explain some of the terms of the art and history of film such as lighting and camera perspective along with film noir and auter in yet another way to help reinforce the classroom learning.
What I got instead was a film critic review of films through different time periods. Despite having a title and subject that is for beginners, the terms that the author did use were not explained before use and assumed a level of knowledge before listening.
The author made comments about the films subject matter based on his understanding of the film industry at the time and not the films subject matter. He butchered the review of INDIANA JONES and STAR WARS to the point where it seems that his review was based on a poorly written article about the films. If he was actually talking about the art and history of films where he focused on the making of the movies and the film industry at the time, then maybe. Instead, he was actually reviewing the film subject matter like a film critic.

The narrator whistles his "S" in every word and placement in the word. Not a good thing when listenening with headphones.
