Great world building and suspense and drama
Revisado: 03-29-25
Start off a bit slow, but if you push through it, it picks up and doesn’t slow down. Great little twist at the end as well.

Historia
In the highly anticipated finale to the New York Times best-selling trilogy, dictators, prophets, and tensions rise. In a world that’s conquered death, will humanity finally be torn asunder by the immortal beings it created? Citra and Rowan have disappeared. Endura is gone. It seems like nothing stands between Scythe Goddard and absolute dominion over the world scythedom. With the silence of the Thunderhead and the reverberations of the Great Resonance still shaking the earth to its core, the question remains: Is there anyone left who can stop him?

great conclusion to the series

my only negative feedback is that ending felt rushed. we want to see the bad guys really get what's coming to them. overall though a great book worth listening to

Historia
The man they took prisoner was not the Jonathan Tibbs they remembered. He said that time was running out. That the world faced an enemy it could not defeat. He said everything depended on whether or not they could make a leap of faith. Then, he asked them for five nuclear warheads. The Never Army is the final installment in The Chronicles of Jonathan Tibbs - a mind-bending, genre-crossing, multiple award-winning, action-adventure trilogy.

one of the best conclusions to a trilogy
Revisado: 01-15-22
overall story and narration was amazing. not a slow moment from start to finish. unlike most books that ending was not predictable, but totally in line with the character.

the ending for this book felt rushed and lazy. a lot of loose ends that were starting to be addressed, but never closed.

Three of my top 10 book series she has written. Her world building and character development is amazing. The book starts a little slow but then takes off and never look back.

great book
Revisado: 09-11-19
the story was an amazingly great conclusion to the innocent Mage series. what I didn't like was a changeup in narrators from The Prodigal mage to The Reluctant mage. I know that changing narrators happens lot but it was weird because The Reluctant mage pronounced main characters names entirely different. it was very off-putting and I had to force myself to listen to the book. It wasn't until halfway through the book that it no longer seemed weird.
