Historia
Set against the backdrop of China’s Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish contact with aliens. An alien civilization on the brink of destruction captures the signal and plans to invade Earth. Meanwhile, on Earth, different camps start forming, planning to either welcome the superior beings and help them take over a world seen as corrupt, or to fight against the invasion.

This is my review of the entire trilogy.
Revisado: 08-21-21
The first book is the best book. Alot of the first book is WTF is going on. In a good way.
The second and third book goes into the weeds. The main plot of the first book doesn't matter anymore. You don't see the main character again from the first book except for a sentence or two.
The author tries to tackles many philosophies and I feel comes up short.
Also the author uses a lot a lot of similes.
The science fiction eventually turns into magic. The technology level get so high things can just happen. This technology is introduced at critical plot times that resolve the issue or changes the direction of the story.
I would say the entire series is a meh. Not good not horrorable. I don't think you are missing anything I'd you miss this. Not sure why it's coming to nextflix. I can see the first book but not the rest.

Historia
Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to coexist peacefully as equals, without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

Just didn't like it.
Revisado: 08-21-21
I found myself wanting it to end. The writing style started waring me down. Lots and lots of similes. Sometime 2 or more in the same sentence.
Also the characters and the main character didn't really seem like a person.
The end of the book makes the entire book kinda meaningless.
I wish the main character was better but she just let stuff happen to her. She didn't change one bit. No development. She never solved a problem.
The science of this book turned to magic. It was so high order technology that is not explainable and non explainable in science at all.

Peacetime can be a rough adjustment for the battle-hardened Merry Band of Pirates.
Especially when aliens don’t get the memo that the shooting is over.

this book is half chill half intense.
it gives the cast some breathing room. we get to see earth for longer then usual and the lonewolf is not alone anymore. this book makes me wish I didn't find this series until its over because I would have just read the next one. these books are getting better and better.

same formula getting old
Revisado: 12-10-20
same thing happened in this book then most of the others. kinda over this series. no character development. James doesn't grew but just stays the same. Same plot structure. things need to change. Some laughs but he is getting old. He also hasn't grown since the first few books. Still lies and is full of shit. No real danger not consequences. Its part of the series thst no growth really happens because he is reborn but I'm just tired of the same plot.

The explosive conclusion to Nexus and Crux. Global unrest spreads through the US, China, and beyond. Secrets and lies set off shockwaves of anger, rippling from mind to mind. Riot police battle neutrally linked protestors. Armies are mobilized. Political orders fall. Nexus-driven revolution is in here. Against this backdrop a new breed of post-human children are growing into their powers.

Definitely worth it. the first book starts off slow but it gets better and better. Most of the characters feel human. Good story telling couldn't put it down.
