Historia
In the tradition of Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris' recent best-seller, The End of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos.

The tough questions may not have answers - yet
Revisado: 12-16-18
There is so much that Hitchen offers in this book.
Whether a believer in one of the many gods available to us through our different cultures, an agnostic or atheist this book. Perhaps you are simply making up your mind this book will share with you the writers “warts and all” approach to religion.
There is no mistake there are times Hitch hold contempt in his voice and tone but at other acknowledges the reason why it is understandable that one may follow this line of thinking.
Critical thought should surely be a compulsory part of any choice in our belief system. This help provide a side of the process we could all benefit from.

Historia
The Social Code is the much-anticipated sequel to Patrick Hanlon's widely acclaimed book Primal Branding: Create Zealots for Your Brand, Your Company And Your Future. The book illustrates how to design and attract social communities, using underlying principles that have already created great brands, internal cultures, political and social movements, even civic communities. The new mission is to create a fan community that becomes so passionate about your success, they are willing to create it themselves.

Essential for social followers

Building a business, brand, social media following or a nation and this is worth a read! I am not sure you “LOVE” this book but you’d find it hard to deny it pulls apart and quickly identifies the new “social” world we seem to be in. (Tip if you are reading this - you’re in it!)
The book is a follow up to Hanlon’s Primal Code which I am yet to read. YouTube uses the two books recently more the former, to teach Youtubers how to build their brand. Why because when Hanlon picks the pieces out and displays them to you it’s hard to deny he identifies the keystones of the development and success of all communities , whether social or general societies. Watch as he rattled off examples, some as large as nations other as small as new age optometry.
This book is short and easy to digest. Skip
past the first part where he describes his arrival in Bogotá, seems pointless. There is value to come.

Historia
'True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are.' Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives - experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarisation.

Not fitting in, belonging
Revisado: 03-07-18
Sometimes you can have people all around you and feel completely lonely. Standing up for compassion, empathy, demonstrating reason, rational thought and understanding can actually make you feel alone. Sometimes feeling compelled to “speak truth to bullshit” while among friends can make you feel like you lost some.
If one or some of these feel true to you. Brene Brown’s book is possibly for you.
Don’t expect a smooth ride, don’t expect not to be challenged! No, no, expect to remember, to rehash, to cringe and to cry, oh yes expect to cry from time to time.
This book is for those wanting to prepare themselves for or perhaps become more comfortable with “not belonging” anywhere, as Brene quotes.
It’s the second book I’ve read from Brene.
There will be many more read.
Thank you Brené
