Performance was great, character not so much
Revisado: 09-10-24
I was looking forward to enjoying another fun, light hearted romance instead I had to endure a very annoying, immature, irresponsible character. I continued to listen hoping that somewhere along the lines, Ruby would show reasonable restraint, signs of maturity? Maybe I have unrealistic expectations of “modern women” - I was disappointed

Gets better every time
Revisado: 03-03-24
I thought Michael’s love story was great, Aidan being the oldest, more experienced in life and sadly, more heartache made this love & life story even better. I love how the whole family and the village are a part of this book. Really hoping this collection will be made into a series ❤️

Love the family bonds The small picturesque town and of course the OBrien family. Is it possible to include photos/illustrations on some of these stories. Thankfully, my google maps worked well enough to satisfy my curiosity.

I love the story line. Just the right amount of love, loss, new love, family and finding your way back home. The few minutes of “love scenes” were not over the top, it was balanced with romance and humor. Is it too late to make this into a movie?

Historia
No one deserves a "happily ever after" quite as much as the second oldest Winston brother and his lady love Claire McClure (a.k.a. Scarlet St. Claire). Cruelty and circumstance tore them apart, almost 20 years ago. Secrecy and bitterness kept them separated. But do you know who's tired of their separation and stubbornness? Everyone. Especially Billy Winston’s family. And now, they're going to do something about it.

Love the Winston Brothers, specially Billy
Revisado: 10-07-23
I can’t add anymore to what others have said.. Billy and Scarlet deserved their happily ever after and I’m so happy their siblings were a big part of the fun, adventures & reconciliation.
I would love to see The Winston Brothers & Knitting in the City become the next Netflix series. Is there plans for this to happen soon? Please 😊

Too much trivial information
Revisado: 08-28-23
This would have been better if the female MC was better at controlling her excessive display of “intelligence” - we got that she is good at trivial information and she is insecure, naive but, it’s hard to imagine anyone being that clueless. Narration kept my interest, at least.

Good story - really bad narration
Revisado: 08-23-23
I listen to 3-5 books weekly and I have had my fair share of bad narration. I was excited about this series and I listened to and love the two books prior. I really wanted to hear how Cameron finally got his happily ever after but, after the first 3-4 chapters, I got overwhelmed by the voice/cadence of the female voice (Lexi) I tried so hard to get past her narration - I usually listen to some of my favorite books twice (I did with the two previous) because I like to hear the conversations and analyze/ponder the thoughts/emotions. With this book, I did the complete opposite. Whenever the chapter was read for Lexi - I found myself fast forwarding the story.. I thought her reading/narration/cadence was very distracting, annoying, sounding very immature. The characters were supposed to be strong, admirable instead and sadly, as I listen to the story from Lexi’s perspective - I imagined her as a high schooler who was reading for her first school play and trying so hard to sound smart/credible.. and failed miserably. I just wanted to get to the last few chapters & epilogue to find out how it all ended up for Cameron and the previous characters (Darcy, January, Bryson) **curious about the process these audio books are made to be published - does the author have the readers do practices or do a trial run before completing the final version? I don’t understand how this version was considered a good reflection of what it was written about.

Revisado: 05-29-23
Love, heartbreak and healing comes in many ways but, with the support of friends & family - fun & forgiveness is sure to bring you peace and joy. This story covered many life’s lessons with upbeat, realistic and inspiring words. Friendship and family are the two most important things in life. I hope to see this made into a movie someday.

Tugged at my heart
Revisado: 03-17-23
I loved Ella from the first book but, this book made me have conflicting feelings about her. I admired her strength but I also found her a bit too rigid and “cowardly” I was a bit frustrated by the self talk/doubts and denial that played on for a long time. I love the happy ending but I found myself ready to skip through parts so I didn’t have yo listen to more self sabotaging. My neighbor, who also happens to be a nurse and was a soccer coach for her kids team, was diagnosed with MS in her late 30’s. I was trying to recall how she managed this at the early phase.. it was hard seeing her but, happy that she found gardening therapeutic. We loved her yard. She is much better now.. she said the illness improves as we aged.
