Historia
Most people believe that the best way to motivate is with rewards like money - the carrot-and-stick approach. That's a mistake, says Daniel H. Pink (author of To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Motivating Others). In this provocative and persuasive new book, he asserts that the secret to high performance and satisfaction - at work, at school, and at home - is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world.

I think anybody in any industry can use this book book to help overcome performance obstacles.
I also think the stories used to demonstrate principles make the topics palatable And the skills transferable.
I think if I use this method to assist someone who works for me with a perceived deficiency the hardest part would be connecting them with good good examples that they can model

Historia
In The Small Big, three heavyweights from the world of persuasion science and practice describe how, in today's information overloaded and stimulation saturated world, increasingly it is the small changes that you make that lead to the biggest differences. In the last few years, more research-from fields such as neuroscience, cognitive psychology, social psychology, and behavioral economics-has helped to uncover an even greater understanding of how influence, persuasion, and behavior change happens.

Revisado: 10-17-16
there were a few takeaways which i feel made this worth the listen; but i would probably recommend reading the book.
i realize the author is writing from his life experience but I didn't necessarily feel there was a balance between instruction and story.
the author narrated the book and while some parts were very genuine i think there were some parts that felt like a run-on chapter; which ultimately made the message difficult to grasp.
overall good experience; but buy the book.
