The language is lovely and the characters are well developed.
story was a little simple for my taste but I'm also much older than the intended audience.
looking forward to the next installments. hope to see it as a series on TV when the strike is over.

IDK if there are plans for a series but there's potential from several angles.

Dealing with a pirate ship full of demons that just moved into town was hard enough. Now on top of it, I have to convince a werewolf that I'm not his fated mate, he's just drugged. Easier said than done.

Didn't know that I was missing something in my fantasy literature
Can you call this series literature? IDK, it's not highbrow by any definition, but that's exactly what's wonderful about it. It's just fun and sexy and it's not trying to be anything but.
Most books that are supposed to be funny feel very forced to me, but the humor in this series bouces merrily with delightful turn of phrase, and actually clever bon mots supported by the reader's excellent timing. The characters are completely modern in their funconality despite their obligatory fantasy medieval-is setting.
The characters are great. None of the mains are narcissistic or selfish.
This book builds on the world established in the 1st turning secondary characters from book1 into protagonists navigating a new world that's not yet organized. It's human. The characters become more layered in this book, even the deamons. It's sweet with just enough adventure and battles to balance out the very hot and copious sex.
Perfect summer story.
Can't wait for the next installment!

More Steamey.Not quite as funny. didn't love the female character voices from the reader but she's mostly good. Still very enjoyable. Gonna download the next one.

Most humorous literature isn't actually funny to me, and a lot of readers don't match the book.
This book had me laughing out loud on the subway. The relationship is believable and sweet. It's light and fun. The reader is fantastic. Just enough magic, adventure, and ...adult activities. Very nicely done. Very fun.

Also, somewhere around chapter 32, one can hear the reader drinking something and sighing . That was distracting.

If bubble gum was literature it would be more complicated than this.
The reader was great. Without her, this story would be impossible.
It's predictable and literal and ends with the obvious.
A single hand drawn line has more depth.
These characters are obsessed with minute to the point of ridiculous toxicity.
I was hoping that it would be so bad that it was funny...but it's not clever enough to be that terrible.
It's not actually terrible. it's more like the stray sock you found just after misplacing it's mate.
It's frustratingly benign.
Perfectly reasonable for listening to in traffic.
