Pen may not believe in ghosts, but she does believe in good publicity - like nabbing Timothy Brennan for a book signing. But soon after the bestselling thriller writer reveals a secret about the store's link to a 1940s murder, he keels over dead - and right in the middle of the store's new community events space. Who gives Mrs. McClure the first clue that it was murder?

Revisado: 01-11-19
This was definitely one of my favorite books in this series. The narrator did a great job performing as with other books in the series. Now, on to the next book in this series...

Slow start but an amazing finish!
Revisado: 08-11-16
I have to admit that I almost stopped listening to this book because of the slow start. I even went back to reread the reviews to see what made me buy the book in the first place. Many of the reviews said that the last third of the book made it all worth while and I have to agree completely. I actually hated for the book to end! It's worth the credit!

More Romance than Mystery
Revisado: 12-18-13
This was the first book that I bought from Irene Hannon and I was sort of disappointed. It didn't have any real mystery to it. I found it to be more of a clean Christian romance novel than a mystery. If you like a book that has lots of romance and the murderer is told to the reader up front, then you may like this kind of book. Overall, the book was just OK.

Couldn't Wait for Book 3: Worth the Credit
Revisado: 11-22-13
If you enjoyed the first 2 books in the series, you will love book 3. I found the pace of book 3 to be faster than that of book 2. I couldn't find good stopping points! This series sold me on the Fantasy genre! Good job Ted Dekker! I found this book wrapped things up nicely and I'm not sure what book Green will add to the series. I'm still trying to decide if I need to get Green book 0. People who enjoy Christian Fantasy will enjoy this series.

Good But Not Great
Revisado: 11-21-13
I have to admit that I had high expectations for this book after finishing book 1 - Black. The book was good but it just didn't move the story forward enough for me. I really feel like the main events in book 2 could have been added to book one or three. There are events in this book that the reader needs to know so I don't recommend skipping this book. As for the narration, Rob Lamont did a good job. I find Rob Lamont does rush the dialog a bit, but it doesn't take away anything from the performance. I still give him 4 stars. I can't wait to see how Ted Dekker wraps things up in the final book of the trilogy!

Two Realities - One World!
Revisado: 11-20-13
I have to admit that I usually don't buy books in the fantasy genre, but I decided to give this one by Ted Dekker a try. I'm glad that I did! The book grabbed my interest from the start and held it to the end. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up with which reality Thomas Hunter was in each time he woke up. That wasn't a problem at all! Ted Dekker does a great job guiding his audience through each reality so that you don't get lost or confused. Rob Lamont does a good job narrating this book. I think I just discovered a new interest in Fantasy books. Now onto book 2 in the series!

Heart Pounding Plot
Revisado: 11-18-13
The book quickly jumped right into the mystery. Once I started listening, I found it hard to tear myself away from this book. The narration could have been better. I found the voices often sounded too similar. The author did a great job of developing the characters. I did find myself getting emotionally invested in several of the characters. Overall, I very good book that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good mystery with lots of suspense.
