Historia
Elizabeth Bennet dreads encountering Mr. Darcy when she visits Pemberley, for surely, after she spurned his offer of marriage, he must despise her. Yet they do meet, and to her astonishment, he holds no resentment towards her. Regrettably, someone else does. Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, her reintroduction to the master of Pemberley is far from universally welcomed. There are others for whom prejudice is stirred up by the familiarity between Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Wow, this book almost reminded me of a Dickens novel. I could see it being done as a serial, sold in chapters, week after week, anticipating the next chapter in a saga.

What a fun and engaging book. I'm glad the drama wasn't heavy-handed. I loved both the H and the h, and happy that Elisabeth was strong, smart and learned how to adapt and relearn how to be.

Story vs narration
Revisado: 05-19-22
It’s hard to truly appreciate a story when the narration is so uneven. John Lane did an excellent job with both male & females voices, but Olivia Thompson should have kept to the heroine’s voice and no other.

Good story too bad the narration was as compelling
Revisado: 03-12-21
I've enjoyed the series so far but I'm stopping at this point since I can barely tolerate the narrator. All the women's voices seem the same and all with such a pathetic tone.

What a lovely combination to have the narrator meet the challenge of a compelling story. I love all things Sherlock and this series certainly is a lovely addition to the world of Sherlock Holmes.

Quill is safe with the Earl of Wrexford, she's ill prepared for the rippling effects sharing the truth about her background has cast over their relationship. She thought a bit of space might improve the situation. The brooding scientist is just as enigmatic and intense as ever, but there is now an unfamiliar tension.

Still more annoying narration
Revisado: 11-26-20
What can be said when you enjoy the story but hate the narrator's voices. I guess I could read the book but I'm strangely committed to finishing up the series via audible. Please find someone who does women and children's voices better.

Narration!
Revisado: 11-26-20
I really enjoy this series so far the narrator really doesn't know how to do women's or children's voices. So clumsy and annoying. The women sound like drag queens and the children have tinny lispy voices. It does the series a disservice.
