Historia
Want to become elite? Get ready for Chosen Suffering. Real champions aren’t born - they’re built. It’s true in life, business, athletics, and faith. We must transcend physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual limits if we want to achieve ultimate victory. Author Tom Ryan calls this “chosen suffering”. He knows that success comes with a price, paid for by the daily choices we make. He also believes every person encounters “unchosen suffering”, the type that brings us to our knees. In Coach Ryan’s darkest hour, he and his wife discovered joy, peace, and hope.

life changing content and practices
Revisado: 06-02-24
this book is packed with valuable nuggets of wisdom, practices and exercises to enhance every aspect of your life. it took me a while to listen to because I wanted to to experiment and practice many of the effective breathing, energy and somatic exercises. I find myself reminding by body, mind and spirit to remember various elements of the teachings, stories and practices from energy codes on a daily basis. arguably, if everyone read or listened to this book and integrated one or more of the lessons our world and universe would be vibrating at a much higher lever. I trust we're well on our way in large part thanks to Dr Sue and her commitment and passion for bringing these extraordinary practices to our awareness.

This is Irving Stone's powerful and passionate biographical novel of Michelangelo. His time: the turbulent Renaissance, the years of poisoning princes, warring popes, the all-powerful Medici family, the fanatic monk Savonarola. His loves: the frail and lovely daughter of Lorenzo de Medici; the ardent mistress of Marco Aldovrandi; and his last love - his greatest love - the beautiful, unhappy Vittoria Colonna.

A Masterpiece of literature and history
Revisado: 03-28-22
A life changing book and story. I felt like I traveled back in time and the life of arguably the world's greatest artist and stoic thinkers of all time. I cried at end of the book in appreciation and gratitude for the pain, suffering and unparalleled tenacity, preservernce, grit, genius, courage, loyalty, generosity and the unparalleled brilliance Michaelangelo bestowed upon our civilization. I am a better person and have set the bar higher now that I know what one man is possible of achieving.

Have you ever wondered "Why did I do that?" or "Why can't I just control my behavior?" Others may judge our reactions and think, "What's wrong with that person?" When questioning our emotions, it's easy to place the blame on ourselves; holding ourselves and those around us to an impossible standard. It's time we started asking a different question. Through deeply personal conversations, Oprah Winfrey and renowned brain and trauma expert Dr. Bruce Perry offer a groundbreaking and profound shift from asking “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”

I found myself saying wow multiple times due to the profound and life changing concepts, stories and observations outlined. this book should be a requirement for all teachers, mental health providers, parents, politicians, lawyers, therapists and basically any person who wants to understand themselves and others in a more honest, authentic and useful way. I am grateful to Oprah and Dr Perry for their lifetime of commitment and hard work to make a difference in the lives of so many. I have and will recommend this book to everyone I meet.
