But as he settled his affairs, he learned that a royal warrant had been sworn out against him and that men were searching for him in every port. This book is a second book in the sacket series it falls right in line with the first one both books are superb in their story and the history the performance of the narrator is one for the ages Great reading and inflections on certain portions of the book. This book in the first one are so good I've listened to it probably five times and I have many many books to listen to along with new ones that I find but it's truly a great book and the author and narrator come together in the telling of the story.
not only are these sacket books superb but most of the other sackett books are great as well as this one.

I like the storyline and also like the way everything is written unfortunately I'm not real keen about the narrator he does a good job but I'm not sure why I'm don't like his voice but it's a meat problem out of him problem he does a very good job of narrating it's just his voice and how he drags the words out

The Traybo brothers have a reputation for being gentleman outlaws - the kind who will make polite chatter as they take your life savings. But Ranger Samuel Burrack has no sympathy for those who show poor manners when it comes to obeying the law. He's traveled as far as the Mexican Badlands to pick up the Traybo brothers' ex-cohort, Fatch Hardaway, to lead him to his prey. Burrack isn't alone in his pursuit.

You book as many short stories of different events becomes to no conclusion on any of them the whole book never has a conclusion but just ends with events that happened and not telling you what happened after the event You could get just as much information out of an encyclopedia. I did not like this book.

Historia
Private Jake Elliott was apprehensive as he walked to the commander’s office. He couldn’t think of a single transgression that would have attracted the major’s attention. When he left the command building 10 minutes later, he was still numbed by the short visit. Tomorrow, he would no longer be a cavalryman, but would be returning to the family ranch outside of Fort Benton in Montana Territory. But it was the reason he was being discharged before his enlistment expired that had been the biggest shock.

The way an author should never leave an ending of a book especially when there's no second book in the works
Revisado: 07-13-24
I really liked The story the plot the way the actors interacted with each other for $99% of the book but for a book that had the potential of being a great book the author just ruined it at the end by having an ending that totally sucked and that is why I've scored this book so low
