Historia
A gifted young knight named Collum arrives at Camelot to compete for a place at the Round Table, only to find that he’s too late. King Arthur died two weeks ago at the Battle of Camlann, and only a handful of the knights of the Round Table are left. The survivors aren’t the heroes of legend like Lancelot or Gawain. They’re the oddballs of the Round Table, like Sir Palomides, the Saracen Knight, and Sir Dagonet, Arthur’s fool, who was knighted as a joke. They’re joined by Nimue, who was Merlin’s apprentice until she turned on him and buried him under a hill.

everyone has a bit of a different take on this story, and this one is a great example. it's a well rounded story and went by too fast. Definitely recommend

Historia
Despite the uncomfortably claustrophobic quarters and rapidly dropping temperature, Christa believes they'll be safe as they wait out the storm. She couldn't be more wrong. Deep in the night, their tour guide goes missing...only to be discovered the following morning, his severed head impaled on a tree outside the cabin. Terrified, and completely isolated by the storm, Christa finds herself trapped with eight total strangers. One of them kills for sport...and they're far from finished.

Revisado: 06-24-24
the narrator wasn't horrible, but definitely needs improvement in multiple voices. male voices in particular need work. that being said, her regular voice was better than most.
I loved the story & am disappointed to see negative reviews in that area. it is pretty far fetched- of course it is! murder books in this genre should be, in my opinion.
it certainly keeps you guessing. it would be surprising if any one could have it pegged w/o having exhausted many possibilities.

Historia
D-Day is approaching. They don’t know where or when, but the Germans know it’ll be soon, and for Felicity "Flick" Clariet, the stakes have never been higher. A senior agent in the ranks of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) responsible for sabotage, Flick has survived to become one of Britain’s most effective operatives in Northern France. She knows that the Germans’ ability to thwart the Allied attack depends upon their lines of communications, and in the days before the invasion, no target is of greater strategic importance than the largest telephone exchange in Europe.

Kate Reading did a magnificent job narrating this book. It's nice to hear variations of accents just enough, without overdoing them.
The story was exciting; twists and turns along with humor & brevity. Definitely one of my favorite Ken Follett books.

Revisado: 07-12-23
I think almost everyone with some experience of listening to longer books & series likely anticipate bits and pieces that are tougher to get through; whether from a lull in the story or characters that do not interest them as much as others.
Michael Sullivan has done a remarkable job with his Riyira storyline. This trilogy in particular, hits 5 stars 🌟 in all areas for me.
I was blown away by how quickly each book went by, and I couldn't wait to start the next. The only negative I can say is that I'm sad it's over!

Great Fantasy book
Revisado: 06-22-23
I'm hearing this series post-Aldoran Chronicles (4 of 5 anyway) and extremely happy making that decision.
Tim Gerard Reynolds is a talented narrator, a good match for Michael Wisehart's impressive storytelling!
My fiancé and I have listened to lots of interesting, exciting, and well written fantasy book series and this one definitely ranks high on the list.
It doesn't seem to be very well-known, but most certainly should be.

Historia
After his final trip up the river Thames with his three companions - - Harris, George, and Montmorency the dog - - Jerome K. Jerome sat down to write his proposed book, The Story of the Thames. But before he could tackle the work in the serious manner intended, his humor took over and gave birth to a masterpiece of unquenchable comedy. This is a classic of English humor, justifiably loved around the world.

As promised, this antiquated gem was entertaining and quite funny. The narrator relayed the content exactly as you would expect the author intended. Tonnes and tonnes of guffaws had all around - The Queen would be pleased (to say nothing of the dog 🐕) 😊
