A Good Read!
Revisado: 02-05-22
I love how John C. Maxwell conveys the importance of relationships at home and also in the workplace. His advice is clear, direct, and straight to the heart and head. And I can hardly wait to read my next 101 book in the series.

A true and good Christmas classic!
Revisado: 12-13-21
What a joy to read this! I am so thankful to have read this story. It's beloved, humorous, and full of moral lessons with a delightful and frightful sense of discovery for Scrooge. Nevertheless, Scrooge became a "changed" man and as every Christian knows and all those who embrace the themes this book contains, it's always possible for man to change his ways. Yes, man can change and his fellow man benefits from it, too.

I really did not enjoy reading this story.
Revisado: 04-19-20
I really did not enjoy reading this story, and this was my first thriller from this author. The narrator was hard to understand because she did not fully pronounce her words and kept mixing up names of the characters. Overall, I thought the ending was satisfying. I just didn't agree with the one identified as the criminal mastermind.

Historia
The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway's most enduring works. Told in language of great simplicity and power, it is the story of an old Cuban fisherman, down on his luck, and his supreme ordeal, a relentless, agonizing battle with a giant marlin far out in the Gulf Stream. Here Hemingway recasts, in strikingly contemporary style, the classic theme of courage in the face of defeat, of personal triumph won from loss.

No one wins at everything they try. But any setback, whether professional or personal, can become a step forward with the right tools and mind-set to turn loss into a gain. Drawing on nearly 50 years of leadership experience, Maxwell provides a roadmap for winning by examining the 11 elements that constitute the "DNA" of people who succeed in the face of problems, failure, and losses. Learning is not easy during down times. It takes discipline to do the right thing when something goes wrong.
