Historia
Israeli art restorer and occasional secret agent Gabriel Allon has a problem. He finds a prominent Swiss banker dead in front of his Raphael, and he's the prime suspect. After some diplomatic intervention, Allon is freed. However, the banker's daughter tells him that her father's French Impressionist paintings, acquired under dubious circumstances during WWII, have been stolen by the murderers. Once Allon knows about the wartime misdeeds, he is pursued by a shadowy killer known only as "the Englishman."

Predictable
Revisado: 04-26-20
Simple predictable story line that was made to stretch way too long. The first three chapters are not interesting they drag along on the same topic and gives a feeling of regret for buying this book and anxiety that the entire story with be like this.
I can't recommend it. I feel like I wasted one of my purchased credits.

Historia
Hard times come for all in life, with no real explanation. When we walk through suffering, it has the potential to devastate and destroy, or to be the gateway to gratitude and joy. Elisabeth Elliot was no stranger to suffering. Her first husband, Jim, was murdered by the Waoroni people in Ecuador moments after he arrived in hopes of sharing the gospel. Her second husband was lost to cancer. Yet, it was in her deepest suffering that she learned the deepest lessons about God.

practical wisdom
Revisado: 03-31-20
I bought this book almost a year ago and haven't made time to sit and read it. Listening to it and making notes in my book for reference is one of the best things I've ever done. Elisabeth Elliott speaks from experience and gives practical advice on the topic of suffering.
