I love Sarah M Eden’s books. I have for ages! And Snapdragons was another wonderful sweet listen. I giggled, I cried a little, and I smiled wider than I have in ages. My cheesy romantic heart was very happy!

Historia
It's nearly Christmas, Julia Devine's favourite time of the year. She's just programmed a wonderful lead into the holidays at Sunny Street Cinema, which leaves her plenty of time to worry about going home to Cumbria for Christmas. Her mum and stepdad are fine, but the thought of spending another holiday with her awful stepsister Becca is enough to make a Scrooge out of anyone. When Becca calls to let her know about the dreamy pilot she's bringing to Christmas lunch, Julia finally snaps and does something very silly.

Loved it!
Revisado: 12-16-24
This had me squealing and giggling like a little schoolgirl. A lovely, fun, entertaining Christmas story. The characters were well done, the performing was perfection, and the romance was so cute and sweet I couldn’t help but smile and squeal (and maybe shed a tear or two). I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Historia
Olivia Wilde has resigned herself to never finding a love match. Her father has insisted she marry a man with a title, if only to increase his own standing and reputation in society. But the men her father deems acceptable are, at best, boring and uninspiring, and at worse, are as brutish as her father and are only looking to increase their own diminishing coffers. With her future looking dismal, Olivia decides to enjoy the last few months of freedom with her childhood friends, including the handsome Emerson Latham.

Historia
While usually protective, Melanie feels comfortable sending her sons to the Graceland School's summer camp for two reasons: The institution is well-regarded, and proprietor Emily Grace is a trusted friend. But Emily has been acting strange since three rambunctious Dalmatian puppies suddenly appeared on her doorstep. The unusual arrival marks the first of several mysterious happenings at camp, each more intense than the last. Emily's rough streak takes a frightening turn with a discovery in the nearby woods - the body of her estranged ex-husband.

This series is such a fun, entertaining listen/read. I love Melanie and her family (human and poodle!) and the mystery was superb as well. I didn’t guess who the culprit was! Such a fun time!

As Greenwich, Connecticut, slows down during a bitterly cold February, Melanie and her spunky Aunt Peg head to the city that never sleeps for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. Revisado: 10-15-23
I found this series a couple years ago, and this was my first time listening to one on tape. It did not disappoint! As ever, the plot is fun and engaging with the right amount of humor and action. And I loved the narrator! I enjoyed that each person had a different voice that brought them to life. Wonderful job by both author and narrator!

I’m devastated it’s over!
Revisado: 09-11-23
Sarah M Eden has long been my favorite author. Her works have been a comfort to me during the darkest times in my life. I found this series and devoured each book, and the last book in this series left me literally stunned with it's ending (a twist and reveal I honestly didn't see coming). This one was a brilliant follow up, the romance, danger, intrigue, and mystery were delightful, and I fell even more in love with Moirin, Fitz, and the rest of the DPS. I love Justine's narration, as well, and was glad to see her back. The only negative thing I have to say about this book is that I finished it and can't keep reading!

Historia
Hazel Stillman is a woman of rare independence and limited opportunities. Born with a clubbed foot, she was sent away as a child, and, knowing her disability means a marriage is unlikely, she devoted herself to scholarship and education. Now working as a teacher in an elite private girls’ school, she is content with the way her story has unfolded. When her uncle Elliott Mayfield presents her with the prospect of a substantial inheritance if she marries, Hazel is offended.

Lovely but, yes, different!
Revisado: 03-09-23
I am a speech and language therapist and work with children with autism daily, and immediately recognized Duncan as being in the spectrum. It honestly did my heart good to see representation of these lovely people! Many of the kids I work with are like Duncan was as child. I feel like Josi did a wonderful job with it, though I would take my praise with a grain of salt as I am neurotypical and would love to hear how those on the spectrum feel!
This book is, indeed, different, and I agree with a previous review stating that it requires patience to get to know the characters enough to enjoy it. However, I work with people with all sorts of physical and mental limitations/differences and found it an easy enough task. I truly loved seeing representation of the people I serve who mean so much to me!
