A little more romance than I like, but not too much. Great take on the story. I will listen to the next in the series and found another Kate L. Mary book to listen to also. I suspect it will not be my last. Good job.

Only a couple of settings to hear the entire book. Good concept and interesting. I will get another Jeremy Robinson book for sure. The narrator kept up a good pace and I liked his voice.

I didn't expect (and maybe should have) the religious aspect to the story. The general tone seemed harsh and not entertaining. Not something I'd listen to again, but others might like it. For what it was, the story was well written and the narrator did a reasonable job.

The narrator did a credible job, the story was about what I anticipated so I shouldn't have any complaints. My only reason for not giving it five stars across the board was that I had hoped for more. I wanted surprises, twists, and unexpected turns. Instead, it read like a travelogue in places. They went here and did that, then there and did something else.

I read this book some time ago, but wanted to hear it on Audible and compare. It is a bit preachy in places, but overall one of the best of this type. The situations were handled realistically and the problems solved in creative manner.

While I enjoyed the first book, I was ready to listen to something else but this is a 5 book series. I will go back and listen to book 2 later, and probably more. The narrator was clear and understandable without overdoing it as some do. I give it all a high rating.
