Great Characters With Plenty of Spirits

Loving this Nora Roberts series. I am an avid fan of her books and enjoy her crafting of characters as well as the twists she adds to her books. I look forward to the third book in the series next November. It will be interesting to read how she brings everything together.

Great Story; Great Reader

Nora Roberts once again creates and develops characters that linger with you long after the last word. It is heart wrenching, creative, and clever. I don’t want to give away to much information because the discovery of her twist and turns should be discovered by each reader. But I enjoyed it greatly.

An emotional journey to a better place

Every time I read one of her books, I join the characters in a journey of self discovery. Like her characters in this book, the story we write about ourselves is often a reflection of what we hear from others or conclude from our view of our experiences. And we often don’t even realize that view is faulty until someone enters our life and really sees all of the “stuff.” This is a book that lingers after the final word.

A Perfect Rainy Day Read

A lovely story that doesn’t have a lot of drama but has you connecting with the assortment of characters and cheering for them. It will charm you page after page. Family is not always the one you are born into but instead it is the one you develop from those who love and know you. Many lessons reveal themselves across these pages. Enjoy!

Powerful — must read

Pain, compassion, love, and joy are all found in this book. Two characters have held on to pain and guilt caused others. Finding that person who sees beyond that and loves the true person within is the essence of this powerful, beautiful story. A must read for all who carry that burden or loves someone who has.

Another fantastic story

Sad to see the story end. Fell in love with all the characters. This is one I will return to time and time again. I have been a fan of Nora Roberts since her very first book. I am already looking forward to her next one because I know she will once again hit it out of the ball field in sharing both a great story involving great characters. Thanks! I needed this.

Sometimes we don’t really realize the story we have written for ourselves

What would it be like if you wiped you life slate clean and started again - that’s is what this book explores. The middle school’s cool kid who is also its meanest bully starts his life from zero when an accident wipes out his memory. Not knowing anyone, he takes time to learn about everyone, even those he use to bully and discovers he like them. They, however, don’t trust him, and, on the other hand, his partners in crime don’t trust him because he doesn’t want to join them in the bullying. Can a tiger change his stripes? Gordon Korman does a good job of showing the different sides of that question. I have found most of his other books to be a bit more humorous, but this one is on target for this subject. Highly recommend.

Terrible Beyond Words

No idea why this book received so many stars or even that many readers. There is no story. The two main characters are clueless and whiny. The only details are in the constant sex scenes. I don’t consider this a romance, but instead book porn. I wish Audible would mark these kind of books what they truly are so I can avoid them In the future.

I love these characters and the story. It ranks up there with The Witness, another great Roberts book. You just want the story to continue.

Very Disappointing

So disappointing. The storyline and characters were poorly developed and boring. It was like the author tried to pile on the sex scenes and conversations to make up for not having a strong storyline and believable characters.
