Historia
Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception.

A wonderful series, brought to a terrific end!
Revisado: 01-12-16
What made the experience of listening to The Book of Life the most enjoyable?
Jennifer Ikeda is fantastic! I thoroughly enjoy listening (MULTIPLE times!!) to the whole series - all three books in the trilogy are fantastic! Although, my favorite is this one.
Thank you Deborah Harkness for writing an intellectually-driven adult-fantasy book. PLEASE DO NOT LET THE WORLD YOU CREATED BE FORGOTTEN!! Revisit it!!!

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

A childhood favorite brought to life!

What made the experience of listening to To Kill a Mockingbird the most enjoyable?
Sissy Spacek - THANK YOU!!! You did a good book justice! I read this book at least once a year, so when I saw it as an Audiobook it was an easy decision to purchase. It was the right choice. She brings the characters to life.

Historia
Nine-year-old Emily Anne Toussaint is fatally shot on a Montreal street. A North Carolina teenager disappears from her home, and parts of her skeleton are found hundreds of miles away. The shocking deaths propel Tempe Brennan from north to south, and deep into a shattering investigation inside the bizarre culture of outlaw motorcycle gangs - where one misstep could bring disaster for herself or someone she loves.

Decent story, poorly performed
Revisado: 01-10-16
What did you love best about Deadly Decisions?
I am a fan of all Kathy Reichs Temperance Brennan books. I especially appreciate audiobooks because I can listen in the car - and I am in the car A LOT.
Would you be willing to try another one of Lorelei King’s performances?
NO - this is an AWFUL listen. I actually considered stopping, because of how poorly it was read. Making your voice louder or softer is not all that is needed to hear the tone, inflection, pacing and pattern of a good book. Spoken pieces should not sound exactly the same as description pieces. This was absolutely an awful listen.
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend any of Reich's books read by Linda Emmond or Katherine Borowitz.

Historia
There are 206 bones in the human body. Forensic anthropologists know them intimately, can read in them stories of brief or long lives and use them to reconstruct every kind of violent end. 206 Bones opens with Tempe regaining consciousness and discovering that she is in some kind of very small, very dark, very cold enclosed space. She is bound, hands to feet. Who wants Tempe dead, or at least out of the way, and why? Tempe begins slowly to reconstruct...

Good story, well read
Revisado: 02-04-15
Linda Emond IS Temperance Brennan for me. She brings the stories to life in a fantastic way, her voice hinting at the years of experience the character has. Kathy Reichs provides an excellent storyline that is imperative for anyone who buys into "the expert said so" mentality. Wearing a white coat does not make an expert. I appreciate the distinctions made in this book.
