One Big problem for me.....2 stars reduced because...

I love the story, setting, characters, conflicts everthing but for one HUGE,glaring and annoying Detail..and.is ever present......
In the midst of this alternate dimension, what could have possesed the author to put a character, named, "Jim Bob"..worse future "Lord Jim Bob".. the pepple are descibed as speaking kind of old English/Germanic, language,in a narrated story!
I am over 70 hours onto this saga, and I swear, it is sp irritating, and incongruous that I am ready to just quit listening.
The name suggests a redneck,country character out of the backwoods , spitting tobacco and wearinf plaid flannel shirt. in America, not a magical feudal civilization..
Perhaps it is appropriate in a feudal setting, but I have not ever read any reference, and it seems. way out of place and time to me.
It ruins an otherwise well written tale.
Very Bad Choice, IMO.

I went through a kind of grief, after the tale was through.
So powerful and well drawn was the main character, and those with whom we meet in the worlds. The here; familiar and charming, and unsurprising in its quaint and small town detail.
And then: the Other: unique and unforgettable, which is none of these.
As we, the Constant Readers, have come to know so well, this tale catches us and holds us tight, until the telling is done. We can virtually sense the rich landscapes, and rooms we are taken too.
It is like being inside the minds of the starring chacters, and we feel their joys and sorrow, as we are swept along on this incredible journey.
Another masterpiece awaits, and does not disappoint.
The narrated is well chosen, and does a fine job in emulating the voices of the many diverse beings we meet along the way.
A must read for Stephen's Kingdom of followers.
