One of the most popular and beloved introductions to the concept of faith ever written, Mere Christianity has sold millions of copies worldwide. This audiobook brings together C. S. Lewis' legendary radio broadcasts during the war years, in which he set out simply to "explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times."

Great Story

Great Story, I didn't think there could be a happy ending and was pleasantly surprised. Very realistic perspective of a possible tragedy.

Historia
Former child actor Fiona St. James dropped out of the spotlight after a spectacularly public crash and burn. The tabloids called her crazy and self-destructive and said she’d lost her mind. Now in her late twenties, Fiona believes her humiliating past is firmly behind her. She’s finally regained a modicum of privacy, and she won’t let anything—or anyone—mess it up.

Charming but Underwhelming
Revisado: 11-05-24
This book delivers a sweet, entertaining love story set against the glitzy backdrop of Hollywood. The romance, though somewhat typical, is charming and filled with endearing moments that make it a worthwhile read. What sets it apart is its fresh perspective on fame and the complexities of life in the spotlight. It gave me a new appreciation for the challenges celebrities face beyond the camera.
However, the ending left me wanting more. After a strong buildup, I expected a more impactful or memorable conclusion, but it felt dull and a bit offbeat. It seemed like it was heading toward something big, yet it wrapped up on a quieter, less satisfying note.
Overall, I enjoyed the journey and appreciated the insights on fame, but I believe the story had the potential to end with a bang. If you're looking for a light, Hollywood-themed romance, this one fits the bill—just don't expect a jaw-dropping finish.

Historia
Anxiety affects more than forty million Americans—a number that continues to climb in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. While conventional medicine tends to view anxiety as a “neck-up” problem—that is, one of brain chemistry and psychology—the truth is that the origins of anxiety are rooted in the body. In The Anatomy of Anxiety, holistic psychiatrist Dr. Ellen Vora offers nothing less than a paradigm shift in our understanding of anxiety and mental health, suggesting that anxiety is not simply a brain disorder but a whole-body condition.

It was okay
Revisado: 01-03-24
There were a lot of things in this book that were helpful, but also many things I ethically disagreed with. The author said it best to "take this book buffet style taking what helps you and fulfills you and leaving what doesn't."
