ANOTHER AMAZING WORK

Francine Rivers has written another amazing book. I loved the intricacy of the characters and the stories within stories. I loved the Bible references and the spiritual connections. I will be looking for more books by Ms. Rivers.

The reader must have been selected for her ability to give a bit of a Southern accent and make the characters sound real. Thank you.

VERY RESTFUL MUSIC

This is music of the rainforest. It definitely does the job, put me right to sleep. I would recommend this to anyone but especially to those who have a hard time falling asleep

Excellent

Although a fictionalized story of Joseph’s life, it closely follows scripture. I am impressed at how Ms. Smith has made the story come to life and given us a reasonable backstory to the characters’ motivations and experiences. The narration was excellent, telling the story in a warm way that did not distract. I highly recommend this book.

Amazing Capture of the heart of Scripture

Lynn Austin has done an amazing job of capturing the story of Judah’s return from Babylon and rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem. I loved the way she could weave in the story of Zacharias and the prophecies given by him and Haggai.

The narration was superb, easy to listen to and follow. Suzanne Toren did an excellent job of conveying the male voice even though I would have loved it being read by 2 people, one female and one male. But her reading did capture beautifully the essence of the story. I look forward to listening to more books by Lynn Austin read by Suzanne Toren.

Faithfully Follows the Scriptures

Wonderful rendering of the Bible; the scriptures come to life by using different voices for people in the Bible. In general, each actor seemed a good choice, however, was I just could not listen to the voice for Ruth. I was very disappointed. That speaker spoiled one of my favorite books of the Bible, therefore I could not give 5 stars for performance. .

SO BEAUTIFUL - A MUST READ

I am in shock and awe at the beauty of this work. Ms. Rivers tackles some extremely difficult issues of life, sin, our relationship with God, and His love for us. I could not stop reading (listening) to this book.

I had read Hosea before, but never relayed the book to my relationship with God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Now Hosea has a new beautiful meaning to me.

The reading by Kate Forbes keeps you focused on the story and never grates your ears. Thank you. (P.s., I have been telling all my friends about this book and the movie that has just come out. But, of course, the book is better. )

Amazing Story of Rahab

I love this version of the story of Rahab and the performance. (The music was a pleasant surprise.). I appreciate that the author kept the basics of the story as it appears in the Bible while adding believable background and dialogue to make a wonderful love story.

SPEECHLESS

I am left speechless at this amazing work. The author found a fascinating way to take us right into the heart and soul of the history of the Holocaust. At first I thought this would be a book for children, but no. Told from a young Jewish girls perspective, you are taken right into the heart of the horrors that took place in concentration camps and will gain a deeper understanding of the statement - NEVER AGAIN!

LOVED THE STORY - NO LOVE FOR THE READER

I didn’t realize this was not the first book in the series when I purchased it, but I’m glad I did. It is an excellent ‘back-story’ of Caleb. Unfortunately, I almost didn’t complete it because the reader is SO BAD! His reading is sickeningly syrupy which took away from the story. I will read this and Ms. Rivers other books in this series either on Kindle or purchase the hard copies, but anything Adam Verner is reading I will not purchase.
