Free for is my new absolute favorite. Her stories are great that humor is great. Sometimes you just need a little happily ever after. The only thing I didn't love about this audio book was the narrator's and male voices. I got used to it after a bit but initially it was like nails on a chalkboard.

The characters were so blah. The story had been told many times before.

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan Mallery again?

I enjoy most of Susan Mallery's books so I'll listen to others probably, but probably not another Christmas one. Too cheesy. The weddings were ridiculous.

Would you be willing to try another one of Tanya Eby’s performances?

All of Tanya Eby's men have a kind of Yogi Bear sound to their voices. Very annoying.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It was shorter than a lot of audiobooks.

Would you try another book from Susan Mallery and/or Tanya Eby?

Yes. Susan Mallery's books are rather good, however this one wasn't. The characters where not strong enough for their own story.

What could Susan Mallery have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This would have been a better sub-plot rather than the main tale. The story wasn't interesting. The characters lack depth.

A great job.

Disappointment.

The author needs to stop dragging out Ford's return (which I'm expecting to be a disappointment with all the build-up) and just write it already.

One of the Best!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is one of the best starts to a series I have encountered in a long time. The author's "voice", along with the narrator's voice, makes this one quite the treat. Every character is interesting and the story never drags. All you want is to know more about everyone and you end up with the feeling that everyone you're rooting for is someone you're supposed to root for. I love it and I can't wait for the next one - literally, I can't wait!

She is the absolute BEST.

The main character was a little too flat and stereotypical. She prevented me from getting into this story at all.
