Historia
The Reaper is a legend, more myth than man: the savior of worlds, the leader of the Rising, the breaker of chains. But the Reaper is also Darrow, born of the red soil of Mars: a husband, a father, a friend. The worlds once needed the Reaper. But now they need Darrow. Because after the dark age will come a new age: of light, of victory, of hope.

Changing character voices and even accents are the perfect way to ruin an amazing series. I’m returning my book. I can’t figure out who is speaking. Flat out terrible.

Historia
Mark Campbell is in trouble. His latest book is five years late and his recent divorce has cleaned him out. Worse, his debts with Vic Hebden aren’t the kind you consolidate into one easy payment. And he’s already missed three. But Mark has a plan—finish his novel, then pay Hebden off with the advance. His daughter, Kay, is spending her summer holiday in the far north of Scotland. The hotel calls—Kay has run off, leaving a big bill, her phone, and a copy of Mark’s last book, Break the Chain. There's only one person to turn to—his ex, Olivia. Kay’s stepmother.

NOT magic….
Revisado: 04-14-23
Too little too late. The storyline was absurd and incredibly repetitive. No spoilers; the ending seemed to come from an entirely different book. Saying “magic”, just sounded stupid.

Edinburgh is gripped by the greatest terror it has ever known. A lone bomber is targeting victims across the city, and no one is safe. When it becomes clear that with every tip-off they are walking into a trap designed to kill them, too, Ava and Luc know that finding the truth could mean paying the ultimate price.

Again this book was too short to make the characters interesting. Same as the others in the series. Great narration but I won’t buy another abridged installment.

Historia
The head of Scotland’s most powerful crime family is brutally murdered, his body dumped inside an ancient grave in a remote cemetery. Detectives Max Craigie and Janie Calder arrive at the scene, a small town where everyone has secrets to hide. They soon realise this murder is part of a blood feud between two Scottish families that stretches back to the 1800s. One thing’s for certain: it might be the latest killing, but it won’t be the last.

The narrator made my ears bleed. The story was simple but ok. Interesting enough that I’d listen if the narration didn’t sound
Like a cat working up a hair ball at the end of every sentence.
