Historia
Jerusalem and the Sinai desert, AD 55. In the turbulent aftermath of the crucifixion of Jesus, agents of the Roman Empire receive information about a pilgrim bearing an incendiary letter from a religious fanatic calling himself Paul the Apostle to insurrectionists in Corinth. What's in the letter could bring down an empire. The Romans hire a former legionary, a solitary man-at-arms named Telamon to intercept the letter and destroy the courier. But once he meets the courier, Telamon experiences an extraordinary conversion.

Gripping, Unforgettable
Revisado: 09-08-21
This was my first Stephen Pressfield and he was worth everything I heard about him. Since I didn't buy a print version of the book, I only had the audible to listen to.
Initially, I struggled to pick out the narrator's words but around midway, I got over my discomfort and could listen to the story without trying too hard.
It's hours since I finished reading but my mind is still in Corinth and all the places the author carried us to.

A magical experience
Revisado: 07-05-20
As a storyteller, I am reading/listening to the classics and the unforgettable books of the past in an effort to absorb the storytelling of the masters.
I had read all the seven books of the Chronicles about 10 years ago but when I saw the audiobook, I knew I just had to listen.
The 33 hours plus of listening was well worth it. The book accompanied me on walks and filled every spare moment I had.
I loved how the readers performed each story bringing the ageless work to life. I laughed a lot of times, cried a few times and found myself nodding as I appreciated again how CS Lewis put so much wisdom into these books.
I am sure I will listen again. I would advice every new reader to listen through all the seven books in the order in which they appear and then digest each book separately.
A worthy read.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Life Changing
Revisado: 05-01-20
I am still struggling for words to describe my experience with the audiobook Can't Hurt Me.
It was hard to listen to at first; my heart broke into pieces for the abusive situation. Then I was anxious that this child was going to fail. As the book continued, I felt uplifted, inspired and motivated.
Can't Hurt Me has been my workout companion for a few weeks now. Once I heard the 40% rule, I doubled my exercise goals.
I finished listening with tears in my eyes. I'm glad I chose to buy this book. It has been a worthy listen.

Historia
What? You don’t know Adam Wade? Here’s your chance! Adam Wade’s personal-yet-universal stories and vulnerable delivery have made him one of the most popular storytellers and comedians in the country on "story slam" platforms like The Moth and Comedy Central’s Whiplash. This Audible Original, performed on stage in front of a live audience, combines Wade’s greatest hits stories with entirely new material.

Loved it.
Revisado: 01-28-20
Here is a compelling story told by a man who is not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. As he took me through the story, I felt his pain and shared his joys.
Ultimately, I am glad he won. It is excellent storytelling to draw the listener to his life and make me feel invested.
