Speaking Truth to Power.
Revisado: 02-27-24
Great job telling her important story. I can’t imagine being a young woman in that position and being terrified of what could happen if she told the truth.
Good girl, Cassidy!! So brave!

Historia
In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep: They become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place.... The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease.

Revisado: 03-15-18
They’ve done it again. I love their writing, separately and together.
Very timely topics handled very well.
Ms Ireland is a superb reader! She makes all the characters come alive. Love the accents.
Thanks to all the King family for their contributions to contemporary literature!

A delightful glimpse into the lives of two very different people who became friends and were both better for it. A rare friendship that changed their lives and may change yours a bit too.

A Lovely Start to the series.
Revisado: 09-22-16
This book takes you to Greece as a visitor and demands that you become a local.
The story of Aaman and Juliet is such a special story telling how time and place can bring two people together in a way neither would have ever imagined, yet changes them both forever.
I so enjoyed the progression and development of the characters, and how all the families and friends came into play to take everyone into the future.
I'm on to the next book!

Historia
For Larison, a man off the grid and on the run, the sleepy northern California town of Arcata, gateway to the state's fabled Lost Coast, seems like a perfect place to disappear for a while. But Arcata isn't nearly as sleepy as it seems, and when three locals decide Larison would make a perfect target for their twisted sport, Larison exacts a lifetime of vengeance in one explosive evening.

Sounds like Larison to me.
Revisado: 07-25-16
Don't understand the reviews saying its a graphic rape scene. I would imagine if the readers normally read/listen to books comparable to Eisler, they've doubtless read much more graphic sex/ rape scenes involving women.
In my opinion, the story was typical Eisler, just part of Larison's backstory.
I enjoyed it as much as any of his books.

Orphan Train
Revisado: 02-12-15
I thoroughly enjoyed this story of some of the children shipped cross country to live with strangers after being orphaned on the east coast of the United States. Makes me want to learn more about this time and place in our history. The story of the young girl
Molly and her situation in the present brings another viewpoint of a parallel predicament faced by children orphaned or left by their parents to be shuffled through "the system".
